Give Me Water and lots of it!

Things get ugly really quick if Simba doesn't get his fresh water right away. :-)
Actually Simba is the friendliest cat around, and he loves people. We adopted him about 10 yrs ago and he only has the use of three of his legs because he was hit by a car when he was a kitten. Now he is 13 yrs old and he gets around fine and shows no sign of pain despite his crippled back leg. He loves to hear running water and drinks plenty of it. He also likes to talk and he sleeps by my head at night.

The vet says he is in great shape for his age.

What a great photo and story about Simba. Simba doesn't look pleased about having a photo taken but maybe there again he just wants a sip of water or wants to see how fantastic his picture looks on your blog. Excellent my friend :)

Your photo made me smile. Simba is definitely taking a stand. Great detail.
I love cats and have 3 of my own and know that Simba is a sweetheart - just a wee-bitty thirsty. Hehehehe
Well done!

Great shot. You captured Simba so well in a ferocious look.

Beautiful monochrome image. Our old cat also loves to drink water, but oddly not from his clean bowl, but from the algae-covered garden fountain.

You have taken a portrait to be proud of. There is life (or lives?) in those eyes!

James, thanks for visiting my blog.

Fantastic capture of your cat's mood!
Simba is a treasure. Animals are amazing at adapting to having only three legs. Glad Simba found a home with you guys. Love his name too.

Fantastic capture!

This picture shows how thin is the frontier between the cute kitty and the wild beast. And How proud we can be when they offer us their love...

LOL. You need to add a caption to this and send it here:

(I have to admit that I'm somewhat scared of cats. Maybe because we never have had a cat... I know it's stupid, but I can't help it.)

Very good contrasts in this shot, and I like the way his face comes out.

Hi James, pleased to meet you!!!
Simba looks great! My Tisha is sixteen years old, and she's a bit of a neurotic, but I love her to pieces!

Love your photography!!!

Hi, sweetie! Wish I could give you a skritch and a cuddle.

My daughters cat use to get into the sink when she wanted a drink of running water. She also liked to swipe her paw through the water.
I think the cat trained my daughter very well :D

Sistertex said...

She certainly is making her point clear! ;) Nice photo!

EG CameraGirl said...

Strange ow even the friendliest of cats can look out-of-sorts in a photo.

OK, give her some water, already!

Martha said...

Simba too cute! We have Kovu, from Lion King as well.. but I think I told you that.. we had a whole litter named with Lion King names, including Simba, but he ran away.

Kovu gets some pretty "mean" faces too, but it's all an act!

Simba looks great in black and white.

Hang on there! I'll go get a bowl of fresh water for you right away :)

But cats drink very little water !

Superb cat portrait. Black & white suits it well.

PeterParis said...

When you get older (and a 13 year old cat is a bit old) you are encouraged to drink a lot. Give him as much water as he wants! :-)

Bergson said...

quickly gives him water before it attacks
