The Sun, the Moon, the Cornfield and Me

Here are a couple of shots from my sunset walk yesterday. The sun was still too high in the sky to get a good direct shot so I pointed the camera in the opposite direction and captured my shadow, the rising moon and an old barn. Then I was able to capture the sun's glorious rays as they poured over the cornfield.

Man are you tall, just kidding. Both sun and moon, one hot, one cool. Great juxtaposition. The first has a spiritual dawn of a new day feeling. Really lovely.

Terrific!
Your shadow reminds me of a scarecrow in the cornfield.

My goodness that first shot is glorious! And regarding my Keep Out post...the gate was open and I walked through camera in hand. I'm getting much more daring since I took up photography.

thanks for the visit! I was lucky I didn't have to use a filter... It was a beautiful sky in an area I had never been to before in Portugal. A magnificient mountain range with an extraordinary sky line.

Your shadow shot is so fun too. Reminds me of Tweedledee and Tweedledum for some reason.
