Frenchtown Reflections (Weekend Reflections # 59)

Have fun with Weekend Reflections while I'm on vacation! I plan to be back in a couple of weeks. Hopefully by now I have some photos of my trip on my Something Sighted blog. Then again maybe I'll have to wait until I get home to post them.

I took this shot last winter in a cute little town called Frenchtown on the New Jersey side of Delaware river. This old fashioned barbershop was closed so I decided to take advantage of the reflections from outside. I was wearing a hat so it's hard to tell from my reflection if I was due for a haircut or not. This is a pretty busy photo with lots of things to see so I hope it works. Have a great weekend!

I'll bet that barber will never know his shop made it to your meme and is being studied and enjoyed by so many.

I think I stubbed my brain on this one. You think you're in one place, then another. You have to choose to be somewhere.

This was a complicated one - marvellous!

I couldn't decide if I was looking at the barber chairs from an inside reflection looking out or in...and, now I see them on the inside with the reflection on the glass of the street...my comment is as confusing as the reflection...Yeah! Very cool pic, James!

There is a lot going on here, reflections in the window and reflections in the mirrors on the wall. Great capture.

Very unexpected ! The choice of the black and white give some very unreal aspect to the shot, And I love to see your reflection in one of the mirror reflection... It was quite an idea to take such a shot on a snow day : the light was just perfect, and the images in the mirror look insanely neat... Another great one from you, James !

Excellent photo James... very dense, comes across beautifully in b&w.

Hope you are having an excellent time on vacation ! Again it was really great to get to spend an afternoon with you there... and the Relais de l'Entrecote was perfect for dinner... Hope you found some more memory cards and have filled them up with images for weeks and months to come of blogging... take care...

Space is full but barber shop empty

I don' think I can make everything out in this photo but it's fun peering into it and trying to make something with the fragments.

I don't think I'd like my hair cut in the window.

I've used all the space Blogger allocates for photos at Pictures Just Pictures so I've moved to a new blog - Message in a Milk Bottle. This is its URL

http://messageinamilkbottle.blogspot.com/

I've given it a new look but, apart from that, it's the same - one photo every day.

Hope you are having a great time away.

Lucy
