Near the End of Bulls Island (Weekend Reflections # 76)

Stockton, New Jersey (Bulls Island State Park)

The weather was beautiful last Saturday so Vicki and I decided to take a drive along the Delaware River. The Delaware River divides New Jersey and Pennsylvania so we made stops back and forth between the two states. That's Vicki in front of me enjoying the scenery. New Jersey is on the left and Pennsylvania is on the right. It was a nice snow covered walk to get to this spot and once again we had it all to ourselves.

If needed please click the link in the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions.
Now lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!

Cool shot, James. Looks like maybe it's warming up a little bit, but I see the ice on the right side!

James, Beautiful blue! I love this. Interesting, on the left water is still and mirrors the scenary, but on the right there are ripples.
Have a great weekend!

Great shot James. Putting Vicki in the photo is the finishing touch. The textures of the trees, stones and the clouds are excellent and the reflections -- yes!

It's not so usual to be pictured between two states!Funny idea, and great result! (Vicki seems sooooo young!!)

This is what I like: water and nature reflected in it! Actually I did the same!
Have a great weekend, James!

Looks like a lovely place to walk and I like the difference in the water texture from one side to the other.
Enjoy your weekend!

P.S. I have to go on a 'reflection hunt', haha!

I saved back a photo specially to join in with Weekend Reflections but, when I posted it, I realised it is not a reflection . . . at least, I don't think it is!

Really nice serene photo! The Stockton Inn is a great place too!

I like this picture, the dock is between two worlds : the calm reflection and the Restless. And the woman in pink like a stranger in this land … Which will she choose?

Great composition and colors! That is a very unusual footpath. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. A great find.

It looks like a great day out.

I like the contrast of the smooth, reflective water on the left against the rougher water on the right, and the wonderful sky!

Looks quiet cold, but the trees are reflecting so nicely in the blue water !

Nice shot along the river! Snow and cold certainly reduce the crowds (except at ski slopes!).

This is a really nice place to spend some time! That little pier is so photogenic! You created a very nice composition, James! I LIKE it!

Nice reflections, static and delicious shades to the left and moving water on the right. Greetings.

The reflections are nice, but my eye is drawn to that beautiful blue sky!

Happy weekend!!

You certainly live in a country with a tall sky :-)
That reddish/pink jacket made for a perfect contrast.

Beautiful reflections as you stand on this "state divide." This is a wonderful spot regardless of the season and I can see why it is a favorite.

Bon weekend,
Genie

Such a wonderful reflection and effect over that bridge

Beautiful shot! A river is often the demarcation between states. Vicki appears to be standing in two states at the same time. The Colorado river is a boundary between CA and AZ, but you can't stand on both sides at the same time! Lovely reflections.

Beautiful shot! The pier draws the viewer right into the scene. The pink is a great contrast.

Love it James.

Gorgeous blue skies and reflections!

Looks like a gorgeous spot. And Vicki isn't likely to get mistaken for a deer there. So why's it called Bulls Island ?

beautiful shot with a hint of mystery to it.
