A Balboa Island Bridge (Weekend Reflections # 95)

Balboa Island, Newport Beach, California

I guess I could have titled this "Reflections of the moon and four lamps". :)

You might see this photo again over the next few days because I'm going to link it to Louis Lavache's Sunday Bridges meme and Franius' Night Shot meme. Great places to visit especially if you want to share your bridge or night photos!

If needed, please click the link near the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions. Now, lets have some fun with

I'm a sucker for night shots and this one is great James. Lighting perfect and the reflections spot on. I like the warm light too. It all comes together in this fine image.

I noticed what Ciel did, that water is high! You've covered the three memes well, James! (I managed three as well; two we share.) Even the flags are waving for you...

What an exquisite reflection!

Or "An evening in the wind".. Flags and water seem to tell that wind is blowing.
When you were still on east coast, you said once that you wanted to get out at night more often to get pictures; It seems that west coast offers you great strolls at twilight!

When making plans for the 4th, hubby told that there were 200 extra police there, so I'll have to do with your photos! As always a great shot! And a hurrah for the moon!

Fabulous! We had the same idea (and the same moon), but you captured the "blue hour" perfectly, James.

This is the first time I noticed, the rays have 6 prongs. Is it always the case?

Was going to post this photo last week and switched photos after seeing your beautiful window. Mine certainly could not compare to yours. It was fantastic.

This weeks is also wonderful.

James,
Reflections with a bridge is my favorite, although I have been unable to capture good shot yet. Yours are always stunning!! How romantic and exquisite beyond words. Texture or expression of water is splendid.

Mmmmmm. A perfect evening stroll! I have to keep my eye out for REFLECTIONS! I have been missing not posting here, but there are some GEMS here... I'll really try to get creative.

There are reflections of much more than lights and the moon. One can sense the whole atmosphere with warm evening and the accompanying smells.

Reflections in water are my preference.

Very lovely reflections. The bridge looks so low over the water - not much traffic could go under it.

The coloring in this one is just stunning. We have had such a heat wave and this photo makes the water look so refreshing!
