I was happy last week when I looked into this stream and saw all of the colorful trees reflected. Since I haven't touched up these photos I will submit them to Jan's meme Straight Out Of The Camera Sunday aka SOOC Sunday. It's hosted at Murrietta 365.
"Weekend Reflections" rules are simple:
1)Post a reflection photograph
2)After I post my Weekend Reflections photo, add your name, country and link to MckLinky
3)Be sure that your link goes directly to your Weekend Reflections post.
4)Comment on other Weekend Reflections participant’s blogs.
Feel free to be creative. Remember this meme is for any type of reflection.
This meme runs Friday 11ish am EST through Sunday, so feel free to link your post anytime within that time frame. Join the fun!
You have caught the autumn very well, colours, peace, river, reflections.
ReplyDeleteI will have some reflection up in about eight and a half hours :-), but will nor be able to log before morning.
Hi James, I wonder why Mcklinky list says it's now closed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, James! They're spectacular..
ReplyDelete(and I echo Pacey's comment)
Beautiful photos again, James. I'd like to be in that countryside! Mcklingy is closed, may be you need to adjust the date?
ReplyDeleteMine is already posted.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI went to the forest too.
This is so clear - I need some practice. :)
Mine's up - I'll come back by to check on Mr. Linky.
Carletta’s Captures.
Masterful autumn reflection. I'll join later, but my mom Nadine is ready and sends greetings from Bulgaria
ReplyDeleteMckLinky is okay now. I had the wrong date set, sorry about that.
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos, I love autumn colours and they're twice as beautiful reflected...
ReplyDeleteAh, the only thing better than fall colors is a reflection of fall colors! Well done.
ReplyDeleteSuch a peaceful Autumn scene, very lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. I really don't travel far for my pictures, a lot are within a 10 to 20 mile radius of my home and we are almost on the Vermont border, which makes for a nice Sunday ride. A lot of my older posts are from my travels across the country to the west coast.
Sunny :)
Super! These are some of my most favorite shots to be sure. I love fall (have I mentioned that before?) ;)
ReplyDeleteWay cool, James!
ReplyDeletewow James!
ReplyDeleteThis place is from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" scenery?
Magnificent!
Congratulations!
Léia
I wish I could walk along this stream... on water too :-)
ReplyDeleteHI James.I made a mistake. I entered mr linky and I am nr 11 but I put on reflection in stead of Riet, Holland. I can't change it from my side. Maybe you can?
ReplyDeleteSorry about that.
Wonderful mood in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love seeing the veins in the leaves. :)
Having been outside of my Jerusalem for two weeks, I finally have some water reflection photos--on the Sea of Galilee.
Beautiful, wonderful photo's. There is even colour in the reflections. So special.
ReplyDeleteEach of your picture is like a XIXth century painting, full of colors , with such a wonderful light..I'd like to get lost there!
ReplyDeleteMy own picture today is the perfect contrary! Ü
Have a nice week-end!
The second photo is perfect -- right out of the camera James. Nice work. The first one just needs a bit of a boost.
ReplyDeleteThose are spectacular scenes, both above and on the water! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDelightful scenes! Awesome.
ReplyDelete"WeeKend Reflections Post"
Very nice, love reflection photos.
ReplyDeleteHi James...
ReplyDeleteThese are very nice reflection, a double dose of Autumn in one picture.
I'm late joining in... had to miss my Bench posting out this week... but will make up for that with Rune next week.
The water looks like a mirror!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I took one last weekend with this meme in mind!!
ReplyDeleteDramatic reflection of autumn textures and colours! The whole scene is like an impressionsitic painting in both photos! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections. The colors are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteo what beautiful colours
ReplyDeleteI like the submerged deadwood disappearing into the reflections of the trees.
ReplyDeleteJames, I have my WR post up and a surprise for you... :)
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful photos of reflections! :)
James my post is here
ReplyDeleteYou've outdone yourself! These are works of art.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful, great place, excellent reflections.
ReplyDeleteThe clarity of the reflections in the water is beautiful, James. They look just like a painting.
ReplyDeleteFabulous reflection shots.
Hope 'Mr pain in you back' has gone to haunt some-body other than UR's
Hey James, this is terrific, I see you've been up to all sorts of mischief here... I've been TOO busy lately, and haven't been out and about as much as I'd like to see what everyone is up to... but looks like you are doing good things here... The creek reflection photos there make me think very strongly of Crum Creek where it flows through the Swarthmore College campus... have you ever been down in those woods ?
ReplyDeleteYour raptor photo here is lovely too...
Beautiful still waters.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots James and thanks for hosting this excellent meme, it sure has caught on quickly! I think you have a real winner :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are very lovely shots, very serene!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous reflections, to be sure!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos of water and autumn trees.
ReplyDeleteI found a photo to post on reflections this week.
Absolutely breathtaking James!
ReplyDeleteThose colors are just beautiful, and the reflections so clear.
Excellant choice!
B.
Fabulous pictures, James! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Reflections to everyone. My entry today is Petronas Twin Towers at KLCC.
It´s a bit difficult to think of that as a stream because it´so still and quietly reflective. Open to all kind of illusions.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured reflections!
ReplyDeleteOh, that top photo just thrills me. What a fabulous color palette, perfect composition, and such a tender feeling. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful my friend. I'm sorry my link is up so late but being on the mainland...well I can't be on the computer a lot and I'm enjoying my family a great deal :) Have a great weekend and Happy Halloween. Fantastic Photos :) TBK
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to be so late with logging, but Blogger has been misbehaving with my ISP and I had to use a "back-up" solution. I'll make the rounds when things are back to normal. However - The post is up thanks to preposting.
ReplyDeleteOh, James, how absolutely magnificent. I want to be there, NOW! thanks so much for sharing. B : )
ReplyDeleteIt is very very pretty autumn color.
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely magical!
ReplyDeletePerfectly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I missed last week, but I'm back for this one. I see the meme is gaining new participants!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said James. Except maybe a bow to acknowledge these fine masterpieces.
ReplyDeleteJames, I'm glad you like the "Weekend Reflections" badge. If you would like me to make one for one of your own photos just tell me which one and I'll do it... I do really like participating in your meme! :) Happy Halloween! Boo!
ReplyDeleteAgain, James, my WR post is at here
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to give the exact location of my post! Duh!
I am glad too that you started this meme :-) (always makes me laugh: mémé is French for little old lady usually in a pejorative way!)
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda sorry that all don't follow the rules though.
This beautiful autumn is well worth of being reflected; we can see it twice! :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous autumn light and colours!
ReplyDeletethis is stunningly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful autumn reflections! I especially love the second picture. So beautiful. :)

What a splendid autumn atmosphere!!
Very contemplative reflection, a vision of perfect peace.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit James. I think I need to take a rest. I am truly tired.
I really like the muted colors - pastels...like a painting. Very well done, James!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos. I love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, just gorgeous. I would like to walk through my screen and be there.
ReplyDeleteBTW, is your town pronounced like Newton in 'Fig Newton,' or is it like it looks = New Town?
Beautiful reflections James, I love that the color was captured so well in the reflection. My post this week involves trees on the water also, but we don't get the gorgeous autumn color that you do. And the raptor photo is astounding. Just beautifully captured. Have a nice weekend. Kathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflection shots! Love them both and that sky one is really wonderful! I'll have to try and participate in this next weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The only thing missing is a boat with a man and a beautiful lady floating down the stream! LOL Looks really peaceful there! Have a great day!
Sherrie
I love the "mirror" reflection of the water and your shot of the raptor in your previous post. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment on my last weekends reflection post.

ReplyDeleteJames, these are fantastic shots. Thanks for the plug on SOOC. I'm having a connection prob., now; so I'm using my hubs PC.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I must join in next week!
ReplyDeleteThose are incredible, James. I love forest reflections--and mountain reflections, and cloud reflections, and boat reflections, and .......
ReplyDeleteThis looks so calm and inviting, the fall colors make it just perfect for this time of year James.
ReplyDeleteWow! I guess I did get in just in time. I usually have things ready much earlier, but this post has a lot to go into it. James, please e-mail me through my profile about the special gifts, and thank you for your support.
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful. Do you have an advice on how to take such wonderful photos? Is it the water has to be shallow?
