Vienna, Austria
Sometimes, as I meander the cobblestone alleys of Vienna or the grand boulevards of Paris, a peculiar feeling stirs.
Anemoia — the wistful ache for a time you’ve never known — echoes from another era that somehow feels like home.
Happy Halloween! 🎃👻🐈⬛

ReplyDeleteGrief strangely
Deletequieted my fear,
Familiar worries disappear.
What once felt urgent, now looks small,
Calm has risen over all.
Loss has taught me
what matters most:
Not what I feared
but what I lost.
Through pain, a deeper peace can grow,
A space ungentle
truths will show.
Anxiety may visit again,
But not the way it came back then.
Grief changes how we face the storm,
It shapes the soul,
Gives spirit form.
So if the dark returns someday,
I’ll meet it in a softer way.
For now, I'll rest
inside this peace,
Where fear has found its terrible release.

He's hanging in there. It is so difficult watching him grow ever more frail but we still share the love. Thank you God for this day
Looks like a scene from 100 years ago - loving the old carriage.
ReplyDeleteLovely - could be now, could be 100 years ago! Also tech issues for me in the upload...no idea why!
ReplyDeleteHow unusual to see a horse drawn carriage these days. Oh yes, nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a new word for me: Anemoia. I suppose a lot of people have that, but they’re usually not being realistic. The old days were just as troubled as today and often more so.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pic.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween.
Beautiful shot from a nearly gone era.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a time that's long gone. Wondering about the bars over the windows at that height..maybe just decorative? Thanks for hosting.
