Barbershop Window View

I was walking around Bristol Pennsylvania yesterday and saw this cool barbershop in a narrow old building. I really like the window view. If you click to enlarge the bottom picture you will see the old barber asleep in his chair as well as his collection of stuff and even the reflection of me taking the picture. This was taken just down the street from where I took the picture of our little friend in yesterday's post.

    Great shots James. What a great classic barber shop. I've lived in Orange County and I've visited my brother when he lived in Irving Texas so we've stomped some of the same ground! Enjoy your explorations...

    Cool photos! Quaint little shop in small town PA. I am originally from that general area albeit not the immediate area of Bristol, and I miss it.

    That's a great shot! I love that you captured the barber! I am trying to get out and about and take daily photos of the things around Lansdale.

    I love old buildings or new buildings that are styled after old ones. This is such a perfect capture of life in a very American town, very nice.

    I enlarged the pic and am so glad I did - it adds to the image that I can see the photographer and also the Barber.

    Re Robin's comment above: The red and whote pole represents red blood and white bandage - since in the early days razors were called "cut throat" and shaving was a risky business unless the Barber had a very steady hand! Lol!

    It's neat how well preserved the building looks. The bricks and mortar look to be in good shape. So Joe is asleep in the window, what happened to Nick? Great post.

    Wonderful brick and mortar building ... something we don't see much of here in Southern California. I shared window views this week at Small Reflections but haven't had much time for blog visits until today, so I'm doing what I can to catch up.
