I've decided to stay in the town of Bristol and post a few different pictures of the same mural. One for the Monochrome Weekly Theme and the other for Mellow Yellow Monday. I guess I could get greedy and add Ruby Tuesday. This mural is just around the corner from our sleeping barber friend that I posted the other day. To me this mural just adds to the old fashioned feel of this historic part of town.
These oldfashioned reclame are so cute !!!! Nice variation in pics. See you at Ruby Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteShe is wonderfully retro.

ReplyDelete"Thank you for visiting my blog! I like that nostalgic mural you've discovered. Nice structure on your wall also. The yellow line nicely ties it to mym and being a no parking zone it's conveniently open for photographers to capture it. As well as pass byers to look at it. Nice multitasking on memes also. You have a great up coming week!

Just had one of Finland's bacardi drinks, I now would like a Coke.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.

ReplyDeleteGreat mural, too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...how wonderful. I love this
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. It's cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful mural and I am so glad that they kept it in character..
ReplyDeleteWe have some lovely old character building in downtown Reno ...but they are rather ruined, at times, by glaring, modern advertising...
There are some that do have nice murals on them...that amazingly, stay grafitti free !
Great captures..
How cool is that! (I prefer the coloured version though.)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see :-))
ReplyDeleteYou did three wonderful aspects of this charming vintage photo..
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage, love the coca cola, love the 3 different shots of it. What a great photo!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic shots! I too love the vintage feel.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classic Coke ad! I love it!
ReplyDeleteJust curious: do they still sell Coke there in those sexy bottles?
Being vintage myself, I remember those ads perfectly...
ReplyDeleteYou did an excellent job with the photos, James!
I too remember these wonderful ads from yesteryear. I think they will always be a classic for Coke.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, James.
Any idea when this mural was made? In the 50's?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the nice comments
ReplyDeleteHilda those bottles can still be found if one looks hard enough but they are no longer the norm.
Peter sorry but I don't know when the mural was made.
Great shots of a great classic!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot. Philly itself has some amazing murals.. I would love to spend a day exploring to find some of those to photograph!
ReplyDeleteHere's another classic
A great old picture on the building wall. I have always loved this. Great job this week.
ReplyDeleteKewl old ad ... nifty multi-tasking. I'm a Pepsi gal myself ... published at Sacred Ruminations today doing a bit of multi-tasking of my own ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Damned fine time for me to be a Pepsi drinker. I do love the add though. Actually, I also like the old companies that used to paint there logos on the side of their buildings. Kind of a lost art.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Pepsi fan but when I was young I drank coke from our little rural store in bottles just like this. There was actual a bottling facility in my small hometown.
ReplyDeleteI love the graphics here and your B&W image is well played for the subject.
Great shots!
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
It does make a great Ruby Tuescay photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of photos. I like that kind of economy and foresight.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, James. And I like the b&w the best but the others provide a nice comparison.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, James! Your shot for Ruby Tuesday is perfect! Love your photographic angles! Thanks for participating! :)
ReplyDeleteTerrific post & great find! My husband has a Coppertone girl calendar that looks very similar and is probably of the same vintage.
