So while I was walking one evening last week I saw a rainbow over a house upon further inspection I saw a very puzzling sign and flag. Is there really a Polish embassy in little Newtown? Either way it's a nice rainbow and a very interesting house. Also a mystery to be solved.

ReplyDeleteThat sign is intriguing indeed! And, of course, I love the rainbow! Terrific shot, James!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbows and I agree that the sign is intriguing.
ReplyDeleteLove rainbows...hmmm interesting. a Polish embassy? Let's hope this mystery indeed gets solved :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and this house is amazing!A Polish embassy!!! I think it explains about these beautiful colours there!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you
Léia ;)
So nice:) And great interesting house:)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Poland:)

With the plate and the flag, what makes you doubt? :-)
ReplyDeleteThat or an audacious Pole with a penchant for signs. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a wonderful rainbow! And why some red shutters and some black? Lovely shade of red on those shutters.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty rainbow and I love that house, especially the red shutters! I would be interested to know if you solve this mystery.

I thought Embassies were in capital and Consulates in any other place of interest, but this is too nice to be contradicted. Maybe they got extraterritoriality too...
ReplyDeleteVery good catch!
I love mysteries and great pictures, you have them both. Let us know if you solve it.
ReplyDeleteNice rainbow. I hope you let us in on the mystery when you solve it.
ReplyDeleteIt must truly be the (or an) embassy or the resident loves the Polish colors--the house colors match except for a little black--or both! Either way, the house is charming, and the rainbow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMatches the Polish national flag - white and red stripes! Fantastic rainbow - the only one I ever photografed was on a stormy dark gray sky as a background! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... is it old enough to date to the time when philadelphia was the capital of the US?
ReplyDeleteThe red shuttered windows of the Polish embassy is so eyecatching. Catching a glorious rainbow, lovely post..
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and nice set of pictures. Great capture of rainbow.
ReplyDeleteSame building, different colored shutters?
ReplyDeletePolish embassy.
Riddles is right.
Love the rainbow.
That is a rather cute polish embassy. I thought most embassies are located in Capital cities, don't they?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, James. You'll have to find out more about the Polish embassy since Poland is a favorite place of mine.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted, James. I'd love to know.
ReplyDeleteThis could be the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow.
Love the rainbow. A Polish Embassy huh? Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteLovely rainbow and indeed interesting house...thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, the rainbow an added beauty.
ReplyDeleteGo in and ask for a visa and the mystery will be solved! Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThe house is fascinating and great James. But the rainbow beats it all!
ReplyDeleteMust be a duplex with two people who don't like each other.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on POTD Contender, which is how I found you. What interesting photos and a definite mystery!
ReplyDeletenice captures James...you were lucky to capture that lovely rainbow. like the two different colored shutters on the Polish Embassy.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful day.
Isn't it amazing what you can see on a walk around town. Your world just got bigger, James.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is a Polish citizen who is homesick.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL rainbow in the first ... lovely red shutters ... perfect for Ruby Tuesday ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Interesting.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they're Polish or Polish ancestory? There's a German flag flying outside a house down my street in England, not because it's an embassy but because the woman who lives there is German. Did you find the end of the rainbow?!
ReplyDeleteAha I suspect it's the residence of a proud expat like myself! Great piccie and subject.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Post of the Day mention!
ReplyDeletegreat capture! lol. congrats on the POTD mention!
ReplyDeleteHello James, just thought I let you know that I've posted a post on how to enlarge pictures. A few bloggers questioned me on how to do it. Instead of emailing them, I posted it just so anyone who needs it can try it out. Check it out and have fun!
ReplyDeleteNice rainbow... interesting sign!
ReplyDeleteI keep looking for rainbows but rarely see them. Lucky you. How much gold did you find at the end of each one?
ReplyDeleteVery quaint buildings, reminds me of small town America, i would live in one of those, they are really nice!
