More Princeton



Here are some more pictures from my Princeton University visit. The other Princeton posts can be seen here and here. I was racing the parking meter so I don't have as many details as I would like.
In the top photo the tour guide is telling his guests about the Harvey S. Firestone Memorial Library building.
The second photo shows chalk messages on steps written by students.
The building in the bottom picture looks old and very interesting, but I don't know anything about it.
I think I'll go back and take more pictures in the fall.

    Imposing building, beautiful photos obtained against parking meter pressure. I like the chalk messages showing the human and funny side of this impressive place.

    Fascinating, James! As I said before, I've never been there but heard so much about it. Absolutely gorgeous buildings and I'd like to see as many as you can post!

    By the way, Ocala is a premier race-horse breeding and racing site in the world! Many top contenders and winners come from Ocala stables. I think there are at least 200 horse farms raising thoroughbreds in Ocala. It is truly "horse country"!

    All set amidst rolling hills and huge oak trees.

    The chalk marks on the steps intrigues me. It makes me think of the many stories behind all of the inscriptions. I hope somebody thought to take a photo as a "remember when moment". The older buiding is very fascinating indeed.

    Princeton is a lovely place, full of history and great architecture. I most especially love the writings on the stairs, shows the human, modern side of the place.

    Princeton U is without a doubt one of the most beautiful universities in the country. The architecture of their old buildings is magnificent.
    My father supervised some architectural work there in the 50's.

    Thanks for sharing these wonderful views of Princeton University. I love the perspective of the second and the message on the steps but my favorite is the last view today. I've shared a bit of My World today at Sacred Ruminations.

    It was nice to get a tour of a famous university. I'm also glad to see that the students draw their graffiti with chalk.
