Anything for the Shot

So I had my snacks by my side and just started to settle in and get comfortable enough to take a really great shot. Then BAM! I got trampled by a crowd of people! All I asked Vicki to do was warn me if somebody was coming. So what does she do? Yep, you guessed it. She takes my picture while I'm at my most vulnerable. :-0

That was a joke. Actually I saw this guy on the ground with snacks taking pictures so I had to get a picture of him. Then I took a picture of the same building, while standing on my feet of course.. :-) It's the top photo.

I've seen this type of thing before. If you want a good laugh click here to see the picture that I took of a photographer on the ground in Dallas.
Have a fun Weekend!

  1. You had me going there for a little while, thought that was you. I have yet to lay down on the sidewalk of a busy place to take a photo, not that I wouldn't one day, but just never have yet. I have gotten dizzy looking straight up and leaning backwards to try and get some shots...

I hadn't seen the one you took in Dallas, your comments on that photo is exactly what crossed my mind on my first glance. Funny!

So what building is that a photo of on your post today? The the head portion reminded me of Ben Franklin.

  2. What I find amusing is that no one seems to notice him on the ground, they are all looking elsewhere!
    The building is quite impressive.

  4. Too funny, there are times I wish I could get on the ground to get a great shot... only thing is, I might not get back up (well at least not to gracefully!)

Have a great weekend too! Just had rain come through, and it is breezy and COOL out, I wish it would stay this temperature!

Comments are working ok, now and then I still have a problem, but less often!

  9. There are worse things one could do to get the shot. The weird thing is that the people don't seem to be aware of his presence.

  10. Oh, I love it, James! Great shots! And I love them both! How fun! What people will do to get the right shot, but yours is terrific and you didn't have to lay on the sidewalk!

Have a great weekend, stay off the sidewalk!

  12. I've sometimes thought about doing that, but I would be too embarrassed! Those are great shots!

  13. Believe it or not. Sometime I do that. That why your will get the most of foreground which will make the pic looks even better.

That guy is doing a "lower viewpoint" shot.

  15. LOL! You had me fooled too!

The most I do is squat, especially if I can't back up anymore to take in the entire building or room. I find that my pictures end up clearer too since I can stabilize my elbows on my knees.

Fantastic details on the building! I think it's worth making a fool of oneself for! :D

  16. It turns out that this is the most exciting picture I have seen today. A photographer about to be trampled by a crowd of people looking up.

I have the issue of "breast feeding" on my main blog today Pick a Peck of Pixels

  17. You're a funny guy, James! Great shots, though. I hoped you took it upon yourself to warn this fellow that he could get killed trying to take a photo...maybe he could get some of those orange traffic cones to place around his body.

    Have a great weekend!
