All those little towns around the Delaware River are wonderful - Lambertville, Washington Crossing, New Hope. Both the PA and the NJ sides are fun to visit and take photos.
The stonework does not seem so imposing in the softening sepia. The madonna is soft as well, the monochrome makes a grand ediface see more comfortable...
Oh..look at that! Great shot! It is very surreal! Matter-of-fact as I look at it, it almost looks like she is stepping out of the wall behind her and is only half way out. Very cool!
Strange and fascinating piece of art! The elongation reminds me of Modigliani's elongated figures! In fact, I wonder whether this "half look" was done deliberately!
I have to admit the missing arm is a little disturbing. But it did turn out rather nice in sepia. If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm here at Cake Crumbs.
Half a statue is better than...
ReplyDeleteGreat background and the statue is probably most impressive this way, incomplete.
Okay, only half statue missing, head and heart still in place, that should do it...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
