In the Countryside

A bee works
While another rests

A dragonfly happens by
I just watch and smile, with green grass under foot and blue sky overhead. In the countryside.

  5. Great set of photo, but the first is in a class apart. You were right including the last, it gives a sense to the other two. The dragonfly is a plus...

  6. I love the perspective of the first photo so much! The bee looks like its just wallowing in that flower's nectar. The dragon fly looks like an airplane! These are so great!

  7. Great pics! I love the color of the flower and I love the sky. It almost looks like the bee is straddling the nectar in the second shot.

  8. Hi James, those bee photos are magnificent, gorgeous flower close-ups. Nice capture of the dragonfly in that beautiful sky photo too. I have enjoyed my visit and catching up on your posts. The people one was very interesting, the top photo in that post seems like one that could be played out in many a city around the world. People watching is always interesting. A good slice of life here.

  13. Whoa! Fuzzy Bee in my face! ;) Very cool. Macro lens? I love macro shots! I did one of a bee in flight not too long ago. It was hovering over a flower and the wind kept blowing.... shot is a little blurry. Yours are absolutely magnificent!

  16. All three photos would catch my eye individually, and work very well together! How about some photo data? Aperture, speed, etc.? For the first two, anyway!

  17. The first is a fantastic macro, James! Your second gave me a good laugh — the bee looks drunk and passed out on the flower! And the third, ahhh, lovely blue sky!
