A Pint or a Prayer at Princeton

I'm sure students at Princeton feel a lot of pressure, just look at the guy in the middle photo who is getting his head squeezed by the sculpture.
I took the the bottom two photos on the campus and the top one is a pub across the street.

Thank you to Vogon Poet for translating the Latin.

  4. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as Sunny! Marvelous shots, James, as always. I love the pub, but church against those blue skies is really beautiful! What can I say? Another terrific post!

  9. Yes, that looks pretty painful.

I love the pub sign, and I especially love the last picture. I wonder if that's a chapel or just buildings.

  17. Great photos once again. The guy in the middle photo seems to be talking on the phone and the sharp points of the sculpture seem to be pointing right at the guy's ear... :-)

  18. The nicest thing about these three photos is that they give three different view of the same place, even the off-campus one.

  19. I visited Princeton some 20 years ago, and still remember the traditional old ivy league school look. Love your photos.

  21. Looks just wonderful there. I suppose a little bit of the money set aside for tuition goes into the coffers of that pub. Which is, by the way, a neat looking building.

  23. I hope that's not a question but if it is, the answer is definitely BOTH! Love the stonework of both though one's charming and the other's magnificent. Funny middle photo too. Did you have to wait long before someone passed through? :D

  24. The first and last are really great, out of time, allowing to imagine how life could be in past times. The second is funny! perfect illustration for the word "pressure"!
