I saw this reflection on a headstone at Newtown Cemetery and I knew that it would be perfect for Weekend Reflections. Then I noticed the bench and now I'm using it for Rune's Bench of the Week too.

Someone must have been polishing the headstone! This must be your pre-Halloween post. :)
ReplyDeleteI also combined bench and reflection today. A strange bench.
Shalom to you and all.
A two in one post! Great capture!
ReplyDeleteGhostly is perfect for cemetery in October :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Reflections from me and my Mom Nadine, Bulgaria
That's a great shot for this month! I linked up my other Friday post... it's serving many purposes today, since the photo had reflections!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
Weekend Reflections
A good introduction to Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWas it a marble headstone? Great reflection, it definitely has a ghostly look to it.
ReplyDeleteLove it! You have led me to the "Benches" meme! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI hope the "ghostly" part will not "materialize"... :O
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
Perfect for Halloween. That's a fantastic photo. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThumbs up, this is great!
ReplyDeletePerfect reflection for Halloween-time. I'm wondering what material the headstone was made out of. I'm guessing marble.
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought of doing this James..... but will look out for this in the future... I have a friend who makes gravestones and fits them... we call him 'Tombstone Len;
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you managed to get a bench in as well...
Tom
Nice one. I've been sick...I've got to start looking for reflections and join you....
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific shot, James. It's perfect for the Halloween season. I hope you didn't hear any moans while you were wandering around... booo :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Weekend Reflections.
OMG...how cool is this. Very eerie for this time of year. I would have deleted this one in a heart beat. But you know I'm learning not to because of your blog :) Well done. Love it. Have a great weekend. :) TBK
ReplyDeleteamazing catch James. It just goes to show what you find when you really take notice. I love this idea for a meme.
ReplyDeleteI participated last weekend but never got to link in. I am searching for something for tomorrow, wish me luck!
That's scary but the reflections are just fantastic..
ReplyDeleteHow neat for a pre-Halloween post. You captured an amazing shot.
ReplyDeleteA nice set and a perfect bench for RuneE. Well done.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you found a bench too! A cemetray is a great place for benches. I went to an old cemetary in town here because I saw one bench thru the fence and left the cemetary with more than 10 photos of different benches!
ReplyDeleteThis reflection at the cemetary is perfect for the halloween month of October. What a good idea. Happy Weekend Reflection to everyone!
ReplyDeleteThis almost seems like a watery reflection! Beautiful atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteHello James. Like a shadow. This is awesome!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
"WeeKend Reflections Post"
I already have a thing for cemeteries and well..this is putting me in a mood. I love this time of year- thanks & cheers-
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely some shiny headstone. My Weekend Reflectio is still in Alaska, but I've been home for three weeks.
ReplyDeleteThe reflection has a somewhat eerie look...no reflection on your ability to take great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have got to take some reflection photos so I can join in on the fun!
Sunny :)
This must be one of the most special reflections I have seen. A bit spooky, but the bench makes up for that :-)
ReplyDeleteOtherworldly and disquieting. Hope to join the bunch soon with something new...
ReplyDeleteIt fits the time of the season well James! I'm playing again this week, love it!
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice reflection such as the illusion.
ReplyDeleteWow,this is spooky,and you have a bench there too,nice!
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI had to look in the dictionnary to know what a headstone is;) Wonderful reflection, James. I love your meme.
ReplyDeleteNice keeping it seasonal too! Fun.
ReplyDeleteVery ghost like.
ReplyDeleteNo "Boo's" from this corner on that shot- perfect for the season. Good eye too!
ReplyDeleteI saw the bench before the reflection!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be back, and thank you for your nice words while I was away.
Have a nice week-end!
What an incredible reflection! What an amazing eye to spot and and what talent to capture it and ... I am impressed!
ReplyDeleteHi there..I got up this morning and noticed my link to your prompt wasn't there. I think I know what happend..it's up- sorry-
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool photo. At first glance, I though it was very effective soft focus. Then I read your explanation...Good job!
ReplyDeleteToo many themes! Great reflection, though - very unusual!
ReplyDeletegeesh, looks like a ghost to me! I;m outta here.
ReplyDeleteI love photographing in cemeteries, James! But I never saw a ghost or maybe he hid from me... LOL!:)
ReplyDeleteThis one would be spooky in B&W. Play with the tones, dim things out a bit.
ReplyDeleteNice shot James.
You have a very interesting blog.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from creativity and imagination photos of Jose Ramon
And I'm intrigued by the mirror itself — I like the design peeking on the upper left-hand corner.
ReplyDeleteNice post combining the memes James and that reflection is amazing. Like killing two birds with one "stone" as they say!
ReplyDeleteWhen you say you encourage everyone to enlarge the photo do you mean you write that in the post or should they be big already on the post? If I make it too big it sticks outside the border :( LOL TBK
ReplyDeleteSorry.... I was sooo disappointed. I should have known better, it's happened to me before too. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteJames, what a unique reflection. Thanks for your comments and the heads-up, I did forget to sign on with McKlinky.
ReplyDeleteOk James, thanks for the info. This is bookmarked already and will try my first entry next weekend. I don't wanna be late. :) Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHi James,
ReplyDeleteSorry I was late, I was out of town from Friday until just a few hours ago - no computer. But figured I would join in with something anyway.
Yes it was pretty cold in MN, as we were actually out camping, our last trip this season. It was getting down to the mid-twenties for the first couple of nights, but then warmed up on Sunday and Monday. Was actually pretty warm today, of course we were on the way home at that point. Pretty tired right now.
