Casa de la Luna y el Sol
I saw this interesting house on Balboa Island in California. I'm posting these pictures today because they tie in with my subtle reflection photo for Weekend Reflections.
I dunno if I would like my house that color to tell you the truth. You know the old saying it sticks out like a sore thumb. The photo is great. Hmmm and it ties into your WR. In wonder if it could be the far window up by the sun? Great photo :)
I love it! The color is so happy, and the sun and moon are great. I had a similar set in FL, which I left behind because, well, no where to hang them here.
I see a pair of crosses as well. I felt like I should be finding more hidden objects in the picture!
this building makes it seem sunny out regardless of the weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the sun and moon.

ReplyDeleteWow! Nothing dull about those colors! I like the sun and moon.
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
belle maison, la lune a enfin rendez vous avec le soleil...
ReplyDeleteIn contrast to Thom, I like those colors...best on the outside, though, not for a living room/dining room. And the sun and moon are cool.
ReplyDeleteTurquoise and blue, two of my favorites. Not the everyday colors to paint your house overhere though, it looks exotic!
ReplyDeleteI like those blues! And I find funny the contrast with the grey buildings behind!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the corner windows. A very strange house indeed. Now I'm curious about your next post...
ReplyDeletePeople there should be very happy, these colours are so beautiful, every detail in harmony!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)

ReplyDeleteAs soon as he saw the image and before «Louis» scrolled down, he thought "This must be California."
This is a good find James, been to Balboa a lot of times but never noticed this beautiful casa.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted and captured.
ReplyDeleteA house to cheer anyone up on a bleak day. Can't wait to see your WR!
ReplyDeleteI like those colors on someone else's house, but not mine!
ReplyDeleteThat's one thing I miss about living in California, the creative house colors. I think the gray house next door would like nice in sunny yellow.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love those blues! Very Caribbean in feel. Anxiously awaiting your reflections post .Kathy
ReplyDeleteJames, this is a very colorful house that laughs on the outside.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I wonder whats coming tomorrow? I can't wait to see it...
Love the composition you created with the sun, moon, bit of flower and all that rich blue. Lovely, painterly photo.
ReplyDeleteLove Balboa Island. Lots of artsy stuff going on.
ReplyDeleteNice to see a bit of the island. Haven't been there in...20+ years. The colors are really striking.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a garage-door, so one might wonder what kind of car the drive - solar-powered?
ReplyDeleteIndeed interesting. Both Sun and moon together.
ReplyDeleteI like the vibrant colours, though wouldn't work in all locations!
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are excellent...
Nice design of sun and moon. Such a cool painting!
ReplyDeleteI love that first shot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful, cheerful house! I've always loved sun and moon ornaments. But so many crosses.
ReplyDeleteA small house looks big like universe.
ReplyDeleteThe space may really do such colors.
The master of here is profound?
I love colorful houses like this one James. Now I see the connection to your WR post! Well done! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of the home!! And of course the decorations adorning it.
ReplyDeleteamazing find and capture!
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent. People could have more decorations on the walls of their houses. They would have more of a identity.
ReplyDeleteOnce, I made a set of bed sheets with the sun and moon for my daughter, and she loved it. Then I found a giant cushion of the same pattern.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this art called?
Sun and moon depicts the 'continuity' in Sri Lanka! - i.e. nothing will happen to this place till the sun and moon is up there :)
