I've been exploring Bucks County now that the weather is warmer.
This is three views of the 18Th century Satterwaite farmhouse that I found about five miles from home. The bottom photo includes the the rest of the farmstead. I recently found out that the oldest wood framed building in Pennsylvania is a short walk from my apartment. I'll post a picture in the future.
Nice shots James
ReplyDeleteA very nice series of photos James. I look forward to seeing the oldest wood framed building too. Cool.
ReplyDeleteHi James, looks like a beautiful old house... too bad we can't see the property the way it looked back in the 18th century... without the electric and phone lines. Looks like it got a couple of additions over the years too ?
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures of this grand old farmstead. Very pretty scenery.
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
Looks like it's so quite and calm being there..

une belle maison, tout en bois, j'aime bien ce type de maison
ReplyDeleteImagine what it looked like back in the 1800's without the power lines. Everything else must have been about the same...maybe a dirt road? Great shots.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures ooze atmosphere. I expect the house does too.

Nice photos, lovely blue skies and lovely houses. 18th century - wow, they don't look that old.
ReplyDeleteMagnificient house, theses houses seem so fragile for me, our houses in Europe are alot more sturdy.Great day to photograph, finally the sun is coming out!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of a beautiful home. It looks like it's still a working farm, I love that! Kathy
ReplyDeleteIn the last picture of this beautiful series, everything looks in order for a work day in a farm.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm revisiting my home state with you. Keep these splendid photos coming.
ReplyDeleteLooks alot like the scenery and landscape around here in Ohio! Gorgeous farmstead!
ReplyDeleteThat house is so beautiful!

A big house is built on the very large site. And there is not a fence.
ReplyDeleteI cannot watch such a house in the Far East.
This scenery reminds me of magnificent U.S.A.
I can't help thinking of an edward Hopper'S painting, there's one with this kind of white house..I would enjoy living in such a place..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful farmstead.
ReplyDeleteGreat place and captures James.
Happy weekend.
Oh I like the blue sky, white houses, green grass!
ReplyDeleteSimple objects yet strong impacts.
Looks a nice place.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very peaceful and quiet there. I love the blue sky behind the bare trees.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely old place :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great house!
ReplyDeleteI love how you can see the sky in the backyard through the windows.
Beautiful Landscapes James!
ReplyDeletePixellicious Photos
It's a lovely old home, but it's the wide open space around it that I'm envious of. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt just screams, farm. I bet those trees were planted a long, long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI like these light, wood framed houses, they are so different from our solid, brick ones. As I see they are resistant and durable as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a nice shadow pattern in the first one.
This is an absolutely beautiful old place! You got some perfect shots of it!!
ReplyDeleteJunie
Get those photos now because when those trees leaf out, nothing/NADA will be visible!
