I laughed and as you can see the he didn't see the humor, but I think the other horse cracked a smile. This photo is at a weird angle because I was driving(on a farm but braked for a second) and the horses were on the passenger's side of my car.
This is my Face of the Week post.
I am not talking with you. I am not even looking at you. LOL
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel the same way with the husband especially the day he didn't shave.
I love these faces of the week. I can see the horse on the left smiling as well LOL Excellent shot and I love the B&W. James I'm wondering if you saw my reflection on Friday. No biggie if you didn't though. This has gotten to popular that it must take you a long time to go see everyone. :) I remember back when you first started it. Boy has it grown :) Congrats to you my friend :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, good one. Love that hairy shadow.
ReplyDeletePoor horse, or poor owner! Was the rootbeer good/different?
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! And so nice in b/w.
ReplyDeleteWish you a nice week:-)
I like the big shadows behind!they give a strange light and a strange mood to the picture that I like very much!
ReplyDeletedriving and picturing at the same time?!...
Don't shoot and drive!
ReplyDeleteI love your smiling horses!
This is a great choice for Face of the Week. Love the shadows, and the B&W is perfect. I wish all drive by shootings were this pleasant :) Kathy
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother used to make homemade root beer. I find people in Europe do not like root beer (what do they know?!), but it is my favorite soft drink. Birch beer too....
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this photo.
You can't look at this picture without smiling. It's a wonderful image and I love the shadow.
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
Horse on the left "Hee Hee Hee...did you see that guy trying to take our photo...nearly drove off the road."
ReplyDeleteHorse on the right "Sigh...oh whatever dude, like I even care."
;)
A great b&w photo...love the shadows. Thanks so much for participating in 'Face of the Week' James - great photo!
The horse on the right has sad eyes...
ReplyDeleteHe does have quite a soulful look!
ReplyDeleteIs that a barn they inhabit? It looks like they are in a regular house looking out the window like any person would do. Very surreal.
ReplyDeleteJames, what a gorgeous shot. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beauty. Sometimes those weird situations give you surprising results - it's not what you would have done otherwise, and sometimes it works. This one sure did. I love the soulful eye, the shadow of the bearded horse, and the vignetting around the edges.
ReplyDeleteYou caught an adorable moment!! I love that guy's attitude. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMissing the portrait of the owner ... for comparison! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour photo looks fantastic, James. I like it done in black and white.
ReplyDeleteAnd you shot this while driving, Bravo!
An Amish horse, a beard but no mustache. He looks more bored than anything. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteOh lol, the story is perfect! (The photo too, I love the way I want to touch the screen of the computer because it's so real!)
ReplyDeleteAmish horses must be in B&W, so this is fine to me. Great picture!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, love the beard too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!
ReplyDeletethey both look a little bored. Like maybe it's time to go frolic in the fields or something.
ReplyDeleteexcellent, James. I love the black and white and the shadows, too. These are good looking horses (but i love all horses!). they look like they've got a lot of personality! (and homemade rootbeer...so good! we got some last year at a fair in Texas, yum!)
ReplyDeleteHow much I'd love to move throughout town and life sitting upon a horse, growing me a beard.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful Tuesday.
daily athens
This is gorgeous in black and white!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful shot! I'm a sucker for horses. I like the "weird angle," as you say, and it is appropriate to be in black and white (as VP indicated).
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, particularly while driving. We moved from PA a few years ago and used to see Amish all the time. You are right he has the perfect Amish beard.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
Wow, I thought this was in a barn. Great drive by shot! Mono and shadow is even great.
ReplyDeleteI think the beard shows up even more in the shadow! Great capture! And...I think the horse on the left IS smiling at you!
ReplyDeleteLovely capture James. Beautiful shadows.
ReplyDeletethis is a wonderful double portrait. I love it in black and white. well done James!
ReplyDeleteHello James!
ReplyDeleteBoth are cute but as Peter said, I also would like to see the portrait of the owner! :)
Léia
WOW!!!
ReplyDelete:-)
This is really a special shot: beautiful moment, magnificent monochromatic effect!
These scenes are heartwarming very much.
ReplyDeleteThe expression that they are tender is impressive.
I thought of Mr. Ed when I saw this photo. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The non-bearded one is laughing... ok, snickering. We've all heard horses snicker!
