The Farmhouse
This is another one of my favorite spots in Newtown. It's an old farm behind the trees. I think the house is at least two hundred years old. There are ruins of other old structures that are almost completely hidden by trees. To my surprise I discovered that it's still a working farm.Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers about my back! I have lots of scar tissue, arthritis and nerve damage so when I'm not careful I pay the price. Hopefully it won't be long until I'm back to my normal routine.

I can't choose and like the two beautyful framed pictures..The ground around the buildings shows that the farm is still working. I used to work in farms in summer when I was young (so long ago, since yesterday! Ü). Good memories are coming back!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea your back was in the amount of pain you described here. Have you tried yoga? Or maybe that might make it worse. Just a thought.
It certainly doesn't stop you from seeing the world in a uniquely beautiful, peaceful way. I love the way these two are composed and framed by the foliage in the foreground. It makes one feel part of the scene, peeking through into another world. Love the tonal range of the greens in the second one especially. So rich. Talk about a natural.
Take good care so you can get back out there and keep amazing us with your wonderful take on life.

Beautiful shots - the only problem is now I want to see them close up! If this is a working farm, maybe they would give you permission to wander?
