We've had heatwave after heatwave in Newtown this summer but the temperature dropped below 90F so I decided to step out and take a few shots the other day. I wish I knew what type of plant is growing here?
Does anyone else think the cloud looks like the side view of an
anglerfish swiming toward the left?
It looks like a potato field to me!
ReplyDeleteA very nice one, let's hope it's not the New Leaf (Monsanto)!!
Really beautiful, a lonely cloud...
ReplyDeleteSo clear colors of blue and green. A beautiful day and photo.
ReplyDeleteWish you a great evening:-)
superbe photo et tres mignon ce nuage tout seul ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely! Gorgeous colors. Yes, it is an angelfish.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors! That field seems to extend into infinity! And now that you point it out, the cloud does look like an angelfish peacefully making its way through life. Beautiful mood!
ReplyDeleteYes, Angle Fish, good eye! I love the depth of the blue color.
ReplyDeleteThe blues and greens together are really stunning.
ReplyDeleteI do see the fish :) and I think those are potatoes but I'm not completely sure.
☼ Sunny
Enjoy the reasonable temperatures. My sister, who is in to Connecticut says that this summer was worse than Dallas, her last home city.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteExcellent James.
Enjoy a great day.
Yep! Definitely an Angel Fish! It is a nice day...and SO green!
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love the rich colors, James, and oh yes, definitely an Angel Fish! Marvelous! Enjoy your weekend!

Like a vessel ... alone !
ReplyDeleteI see the angelfish! What a cool cloud. When I first saw it, I thought it looked like the head of a dog or a dragon - facing the right with it's mouth open - ready to devour the blue of the day.
ReplyDeleteThe peaceful space lets me forget heat for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe scattered clouds seem to swim to the left direction.
Because it may have a shape of the fish. And it faces it towards the left.
The sea of the Ultramarine blue. . .
And one white fish. . .
From the Far East.
Greetings.

Lovely! Perfect place to relax:) Great colors!
ReplyDeleteSure looks so green and with heatwaves too.
ReplyDeleteCiao, mi piace molto questa foto.
ReplyDeleteRelax e bellezza fusi insieme :-)
Buona giornata.
My first guess was soybeans, but, in that part of Pennsylvania, it could be potatoes. Yes. I see the angler fish.
ReplyDeleteTheFredEffect
No idea (potatoes is my best guess) but what lovely colours!!
ReplyDeleteLove this photo and I saw the fish right away (even before you mentioned) but I'm one of the always-seeing-things-in-clouds people anyway. I think it sort of makes my friends crazy
ReplyDeleteSo very lush!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what's growiing there, but the cloud and photo are great!
ReplyDeleteHeatwave is one irksome Summer condition. I can't breath ... so suffocating.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful greenery find here. The sky looks nonchalant of the high heat you're having.
What a beautiful day and sky. Ok, I can see a fish....
ReplyDeleteMmmmh... My previous comment didn't worked, obviously... I just to do another one, [scratch, scratch] I guess...
ReplyDeleteLovely this little cloud... You see a quite awfull fish there, but it looks more like this kind of fish :

Have a nice week-end
The greens and blue contrast is beautiful. such a bright lovely picture. We are on a roadtrip heading up the Eastern seaboard from Florida -- temp-wise it appears we may as well have stayed home . Except there are all those new lovely places to see.
ReplyDeleteI too see a fluffy flying Angel Fish, James.
ReplyDeleteTater farms are common in Pa. A lot of them become delicious chips.
magnifiques couleurs et paysage, bravo !
ReplyDeleteI agree with your assessment of the cloud! What a beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteA stunning photo, love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd Yes, I can also see the fish!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photo ; bravo
ReplyDeleteWow, this is gorgeous. The color of the sky is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Fred, that looks like soybeans to me. But maybe you don't grow them that far north. Your cloud looks fishy to me.
