The Fall Colors of Bucks County

Being from the West Coast I'd heard about how beautiful it gets in this part of the country, but I didn't fully realize it until I saw for myself. Here are a couple of shots that I took last year during my first "real" autumn season. Once again the colors are starting to change and pretty soon we'll have another explosion of colors.

  4. Oh, this is from *last* year! I didn't think it was this colorful yet. I'm wondering if we will get as a colorful a fall, as the summer was quite dry.

    Stunning scenery.

  17. Just breathtaking! I'm hoping we'll have a riot of color down our way this year, too. The trees haven't started to change yet, but the weather sure has...

  18. Were you up in a hot air balloon, a hang glider, or simply on top of a high hill requiring some arduous climbing to get to the top where the view spreads away... into a sea of glorious colors. Is that the Delaware ? Or a tributary to it ? Fire on the mountain...

I was roaming back roads of Pennsylvania last week, but the colors weren't quite to this point yet, they were just starting to change, though already lovely...

  20. My corner of the world is like California: we NEVER have those kinds of colors..There are not many (not enough?..) differences between seasons. Sometimes, I find it boring!

(sorry for those words in French, but that was just my heartfelt expressing itself here...)

James, those colors are really beautiful. In Brittony, the area where I live in France the tree aren't changing of color yet (they will only in two or three weeks from now) ; so thank you for this foretaste of autumn...
