Near the End of Bulls Island (Weekend Reflections # 76)

Stockton, New Jersey (Bulls Island State Park)

The weather was beautiful last Saturday so Vicki and I decided to take a drive along the Delaware River. The Delaware River divides New Jersey and Pennsylvania so we made stops back and forth between the two states. That's Vicki in front of me enjoying the scenery. New Jersey is on the left and Pennsylvania is on the right. It was a nice snow covered walk to get to this spot and once again we had it all to ourselves.

If needed please click the link in the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions.
Now lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!

  9. Great shot James. Putting Vicki in the photo is the finishing touch. The textures of the trees, stones and the clouds are excellent and the reflections -- yes!

  20. I saved back a photo specially to join in with Weekend Reflections but, when I posted it, I realised it is not a reflection . . . at least, I don't think it is!

  22. I like this picture, the dock is between two worlds : the calm reflection and the Restless. And the woman in pink like a stranger in this land … Which will she choose?

  34. I like the contrast of the smooth, reflective water on the left against the rougher water on the right, and the wonderful sky!

  35. Looks quiet cold, but the trees are reflecting so nicely in the blue water !

  36. Nice shot along the river! Snow and cold certainly reduce the crowds (except at ski slopes!).

  37. This is a really nice place to spend some time! That little pier is so photogenic! You created a very nice composition, James! I LIKE it!

  42. Beautiful reflections as you stand on this "state divide." This is a wonderful spot regardless of the season and I can see why it is a favorite.

  44. Beautiful shot! A river is often the demarcation between states. Vicki appears to be standing in two states at the same time. The Colorado river is a boundary between CA and AZ, but you can't stand on both sides at the same time! Lovely reflections.

  45. Beautiful shot! The pier draws the viewer right into the scene. The pink is a great contrast.

  46. Gorgeous blue skies and reflections!

  47. Looks like a gorgeous spot. And Vicki isn't likely to get mistaken for a deer there. So why's it called Bulls Island ?

  49. The colors and the clarity are outstanding.
