Newtown, PA (trees reflected in a puddle of melted snow)
Thankfully, I have lots of photos in my archives because I've been off of my feet because of chronic back problems. I like the look of bare trees reflected in water and I usually make photos of them in black and white, but the reflected colors of the sunset were to nice to hide.

Now, lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!
There is just something eerie about bare branches in sillouette! Nice James! Thanks for hosting this everyweek...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back, hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture, super reflections :)
Take care.

Those trees are so clear they don't seem like they could be part of a reflection!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your back is hurting, be well soon, the weather is finally getting good.
ReplyDeleteExcellent clarity in the reflections!
Do hope your back is feeling better quickly! This is such a superb capture/reflection! I, too, love the clarity! Take care and hope you have a good weekend, James!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
So lace-like and feathery! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBack pain is so painful. I hope it goes away.
Once again a beautiful one James! Have a nice weekend and take care of that back my friend.
ReplyDeletea lovely image
ReplyDeletetrees are such wonderful artists
feel better James, I have scoliosis so I know a bit about back issues
they can really knock you out
have a restful weekend
Beautiful - hard to be sure if it is looking up or down - guess there'll be an excess of up with your back down - do rest and get better soon.
ReplyDeleteI think that you were wise in selecting the color for this one... soft and lovely, James.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that you will rest and follow doctor's orders... The camera awaits your recovery!
Bises,
Genie
Nice and enigmatic composition, great.
ReplyDeleteSorry your back is bothering you again, I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI would not have guessed this was a reflection, except for the context of the meme, nice job!
what a beautiful photo, hope your back feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh James, so sorry about your back, I hope you can feel better soon!
ReplyDeletePlease take care!
Your picture is wonderful, I think the color is the right choice!
Hugs

Sorry to read about your back problem, that can be very painfull. It's good that you have such great photos in your archive.
ReplyDeleteso other worldly--get better soon.
ReplyDeleteFantastic image, James! The colours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo James. Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe way your picture is framed gives a feeling of something not realistic, a little like in a dream..
ReplyDeleteI Hope your back will be better soon..
Didn't realize that was a reflection !
ReplyDeleteWish you all the best for getting better !
The colors on this particular shot are stunning... I really like the blury effect of the background (the dept of the puddle, I guess) : the granularity gives such an interesting aspect to the picture... Nice one, James !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, I have a thing for trees.
ReplyDeleteIf I wouldn't have read the text, I wouldn't have known it was a reflection!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your back -it can be pretty debiliating. I had a pretty bad back 2 years ago (people suggested a wheel chair!), but losethebackpain.com really helped me (it's run by a physical therapist and a chiropractor)), combined with a lot of prayer I'm now pain free.
Take care:)
Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteThis feels like I'm already asleep and dreaming. Gorgeous.
James, can you delete my first entry as the link is broken... I added it again as #37... merci!
ReplyDeleteGenie
I'm glad you left the color in this one! I have enjoyed your b&w shots, but the color really makes this one special. I hope your back les you up, out and about soon!
ReplyDeleteOh that melting snow tree reflection is amazing! Hope you are feeling much better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteReally glad you have backup shots to share, but really sorry you're having to use them. This one's fabulous! Take it easy and feel better soon, James.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful soft skies enhancing this artistic wild tangle of braches! Stuning!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those 'Am I looking up or down?' photos.
ReplyDeleteHope your back is a lot better soon.
Lucy

ReplyDeletemi poece questa immagien così soft !
Buona serata.
Myriam :)
Trees in the water, perfect reflection.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, James, strangely eerie.
ReplyDeletefantastic photo: I thought it was the actual trees, until I read your caption....
ReplyDeleteWhat a beayutiful reflection! It says something profound.
ReplyDeleteJames, so sorry to hear about your back. I may have something of interest if you want to drop me an e-mail: oregontapir@yahoo.com. Meanwhile, don't we love the archives? I've been using mine, too! Yours is a winner.
ReplyDeleteFor me there is something very primordial about this image. Networks forming from the seemingly formless and chaotic soup of the universe. This image really sparks my imagination!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear your back is in pain. I sincerely hope you find relief immediately and can get back out there soon.
beautiful job James! I'm glad you have archives too.
ReplyDeleteHope your back gets better soon.
Oh, this is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and delightful!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteI like your reflection shot this week.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your back's soon better.
All the best, Boonie
Great reflections. Hope your back is better soon.
ReplyDeleteI relate to you back issues, James. I just found a chiropractor here in Bucharest to realign that mountain highway of a spine of mine. In the meantime, good reflection find in your archives... but I hope these are the last signs of winter.
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot. The branches are so crisp that I began to wonder which bit is reflected.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your back. Good luck and I hope it recovers soon. Take care, Ev
Time to rest James! Be patient,I am sure you are.
ReplyDeleteToday it's time to reflect for a change! :-)
Another beautiful reflection! Hope you are having a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your shot James! I really enjoy this meme...some very interesting reflections and interpretations of reflections!!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find my thumbnail so I entered my stuff again...ooops!!! now I've got two up there and can't figure out how to delete one of them!!!
I love that sky through the branches. Hope your back is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your back is bothering you. I know what you mean but I have felt a million times better since I stopped eating and drinking milk products.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is really "impressionnante."
I like this! I did something similiar awhile ago with a puddle (one of the few we get here!) in bw too, I like your tinge of color here.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so much like a normal tree with a cloudy sky...it's amazing how reflections can look so real at times. So, this means that the snow is melting...yay for the East Coast!
ReplyDeleteHey James, so sorry to hear you're having back problems, I sincerely hope this flare up will not last too long, and with the blooming Spring season you'll be out and about before long.
ReplyDeleteYour tree reflection here is awesome, really great image that draws us in and makes us wonder how we are perceiving what we are seeing, not many clues that it is a reflection, except around the edges...
Take good care of yourself...
Your archive shots are always welcome. Hope you are all better soon! Bare branches around here, still. But I did see a few pink trees beginning. My shot is also an archive one, but a good one, I think:

Wouah ! Magic Capture … I see it like a dream.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you didn't hide the colors. They are awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back. I find turmeric to be a wonderful anti-inflammatory to relieve pain.
