Balboa Island, Newport Beach, California
This is the other side of the island from where I took last week's picture. Now I've seen Statues of Liberty in Texas,NYC,Paris and Newport Beach but they seem to be getting smaller. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat an appropriate shot for this weekend...you've captured it all....flag..check, Statue of Liberty...check, reflections....check. I'd even go so far as to say the starburst of light could look like a firework!

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
ReplyDeletePerfect shot for the holiday weekend. Have a good one!!!
ReplyDeleteJames, a great place to watch the fireworks in San Diego is at Seashore Village (because you can see 2 fireworks being shot), but...park before 4 pm, otherwise it's almost impossible to find a parking place. Also, when we go, we try to leave 10 min. before everyone else, so you are not an hour, just getting out of traffic to go on the freeway:):)
ReplyDeleteHave a great 4th July, lovely light on the water.
ReplyDeleteFire in the water ! How nice !
ReplyDeleteAwesome. A powerful shot with great composition and fantastic light.
ReplyDeleteExcellent image James. You inspired me to get into the spirit of July 4. I dug out a color slide of the Liberty Bell that I took almost 40 years ago for this week's reflection. Enjoy your holiday!

ReplyDeleteWanted to let you know there is a new photo club forming. I really like some of the people in it, very nice bunch. The leader is really great about teaching and sharing. He gets press passes and takes other shooters along to show them the ropes, etc. Just thought you might be interested.

ReplyDeleteSmall world, James...in regard to our conversation (Santa Fe)...we all ate at the Cowgirl Restaurant. It was on a Sunday afternoon and we had a patio table and listened to a great band. Kix Brooks from the country duo (Brooks & Dunn) was there with his wife. It turns out they frequent Santa Fe since they have a home there...great times!
