Bay Arcade (Weekend Reflections # 99)


Newport Beach,Ca (Balboa Peninsula)

This is a reflection from across the street so don't follow the "one way" sign. I used to love going to The Bay Arcade when I was a boy in the early to mid 1970's. At that time there were only one or two video games that were available but The Bay Arcade didn't have them because even then it was an old fashioned place and the arcade games were from the 40's 50's and 60's. 

Once again I'd like to apologize for the problems caused by the changing of my URL. It seems like my new posts aren't showing up in the dashboard viewer and some links to my blog are wrong. I went to Blogger help and there are lots of people that have the same problem but I can't find a solution. I'll keep trying though!

    Another beautiful shot James, I love it when an image invokes memories.

    I believe this is one of my favorite reflection shots of yours. It has it all. nice one James. thanks for hosting each week, and no worries about the url. I find you, it just takes a few more steps is all, and I don't mind, my mouse is doing the walking for me :)

    Linky worked great for me James. I love how you find night and dusk reflections like this "throw back" image. There are a few beach towns in the vicinity that still have the old style arcades...most are full of up to date hi-tech video games. Was skee-ball really all that bad? Have a great weekend James.

    Nice memories! My kids enjoyed the arcades a little later, but still the old style games. I have not had a problem with linking since I removed the "s" at the end.
