Ephemeral Scenery (Weekend Reflections # 167)

Florence, Italy

One second there might be a beautiful reflection and the next it could be distorted, but still beautiful or possibly even gone. I like figuring out the right time and elements to make a good reflection photo. It's fun because reflections constantly change.

    This is so very cool James! I think I would have liked it without the guys paddling by but they give it a whole new dimension.

    I like the moment you choosed to take the picture: Avant aurait été trop tôt, après trop tard! là , on voit le reflet net d'un côté, et le reflet bougé de l'autre; Perfect timing!

    This is gorgeous, James. We're scheduled for Italy soon, but haven't decided our itinerary beyond Venice, where we disembark from a cruise. Florence is definitely on our list, and now, if it has reflections...we'll have to re-reflect on how much time we'll need there!

    Hi James, for once am getting here on a Friday, as am off from work for a change. You really nailed this one, and sure looks like you had a gorgeous day for it in Florence. I need to get back into my Florence photos from last June, still have a ton of editing and sorting to do, from the lovely cemeteries there, especially... best wishes...

    Rowing through the reflection like that seems to have taken them into another - almost a science fiction - dimension. This is one of the 'specials'.
