I guess you could call this an ambush reflection. First I saw the puddle and then I saw the poodle coming down the path so I pretended to take pictures of trees while waiting for the lady and her dog to walk into the reflection.
As you can see it's been cold and snowy here. :-)
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect reflection, James!! You do get the very best!! Still can't sign in so I think it's time to retire, can't expect others to do it for me! It has been fun and has given me a new awareness of a different kind of beauty!! Thank you! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Great and Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteNice bit of 'ambushing' here James, love the snazzy poodle jacket ..twice! oh how I want your snow and rain :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT reflection James.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch! I love that the reflection takes over...gives us more of a view than the scene itself!
ReplyDeleteI just linked but now I'm wondering if my photos represent reflections! You'll have to let me know. I'm having a blond moment! heehee! Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteMy, aren't you sneaky? And may I add: well done!
ReplyDeleteA lot different reflection than southern California! Nicely done!

ReplyDeleteNice one James!!! I love your strategy!!! It seems like Standard Poodles are making a greater appearance these days...I went for years not ever seeing any...and in the last few years, more and more!!!

ReplyDeleteVery cool shot - it is so clear!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this was taken in a park? I love the green coat on the dog. The reflection is crystal clear!
ReplyDeleteGood. I'm not the only one pretending to take a pic of something else then... :-) Magical reflection.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot James - love the B&W effect with just a splash of green.
ReplyDeleteAdmit that I've taken that approach once or twice:) Bytheway, since Thanksgiving, where I live is now free from any legal conundrums, so I can sell ... or stay. But I'm hoping for a roomier house, so I don't have to stack my paintings in the hall & have all my kids and grandkids stay overnight!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! And a great-looking dog!
ReplyDeleteYou are so slick...or should I say "creative"?....:)JP
ReplyDeleteQuelle élégance, ce chien ? un caniche royal qui en a toute l'allure. Oui, la neige semble être arrivée à certains endroits. Elle a épargné Paris, et c'est aussi bien.
ReplyDeletebon week-end,
Ava

Who doesn't do an ambush photo now and then? I frequently wait for someone to walk in the frame, in order, at the very least, to create a sense of scale. Poodle and puddle go very well together in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection, even if a poodle.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is nice!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteThe puddle and the poodle that sounds funny and makes a funny photo.
