The Leaning Reflection of Pisa (Weekend Reflections # 288)

Pisa, Italy

It felt a little surreal to see this tower in person because I'd seen so many pictures of it over the years. Sort of like seeing the Eiffel Tower or the Empire State Building for the first time.

Happy Easter!

This is the place to see and share reflections. Click the rules tab above for more information.  A Reflection =  An image given back by a reflecting surface.  A PHOTOGRAPH of a REFLECTION(s).

  3. Perfect capture! I love how iconic landmarks like this are often surrounded by the day-to-day life of the locals. That feeling comes through as you capture the reflection in a shop window...Local color and tourist spot all in one. Thanks so much for hosting this link up - I enjoy it so much! (If you hadn't noticed!)

  4. For some reason, I'm surprised to see that there's a shop window close enough for this reflection to be possible. Happy Easter, James.

  12. What a wonderful opportunity and I assume you have seen the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building along with the Leaning Tower of Pisa. What a life you must lead. I am happy for you and just a bit envious. I would have tilted my camera so the tower wasn't leaning in the picture ... that would have cause a bit of a stir, Ha! Another great post, James.

  14. Wonderful image James! I am ancient enough to remember having climbed the Tower's inner stairs - long before it was closed to such tourist activities; it was a weird sensation! Bless you James for your continued dedication to hosting this site which clearly brings joy to many. Happy Easter.

  15. I've managed to get there twice so far. I only walked it once though, that's enough. :)
