Next Stop, Bologna Centrale (Weekend Street/Reflections # 13)

Bologna, Italy

It was 2014. We were on a train from Florence to Venice or maybe it was from Venice to Florence. My wife was trying to read a book called "Cat Bearing Gifts" while the two women were having a slightly loud conversation. Maybe I should have paid extra for “la carrozza silenzio.” Just kidding. They didn't bother my wife and I found them entertaining.

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals etc. unless of course there is a reflection.

Click here for street photography examples and inspiration.

"Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."

  1. James, she had a point, and wanted to make sure her friend heard it. Perfect photo to tell a story.

  3. I ABSOLUTELY love this picture!!It brings back so much memories; and it could be taken from a movie: you know, the travelling neighbour hearing something he should not :)..

    Talking about secrets, ..
    James,I hope you'll understand this:
From now on, instead of "Arthur Rimbaud", look for "Toscano" in the list..

  7. Fantastic candid shot in B&W. You get that real old photographic masters feeling on film from this one. Well done James.

  8. A familiar scene that now seems so alien and far away (long ago?)

  9. Le train est un endroit idéal pour l'observation, y prendre des photos est tout un art.

  10. Don't you just love those "slightly loud" talkers. Maybe they are hard of hearing, I do that if Mrs. Jim doesn't warn me that I am being loud. :)
