An interesting fellow having lunch alone in The French Quarter.
Pourquoi devrions-nous toujours déjeuner avec quelqu'un ?
Have a great weekend!

"Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."
Yes, he is an interesting looking fellow in a Panama hat. This is the second week you have featured a Panama hat. Interesting. The French Quarter in what city? NYC? All the signs are in English, so it isn't Paris, but the cafe looks French. To answer your question, we enjoy having lunch with someone because humans are at heart a social animal.
ReplyDeleteInteresting the angle you took this shot from James. Great shot. Thanks for hosting take care and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteA Terrace or La Terrasse on Sansome St West Philly?
ReplyDeleteWeirdly the link up isn't letting me add a thumbnail from the post. Not sure what's going on there. Anyway that guy has a similar hat to the guy last week and I wondered if it was the same man at first. The textures in the scenery around him make the photo. Et je suis heureuse prends le dejuener toute seule.
ReplyDeleteHi James. Thanks for your question about the Degas Little Dancer Age Fourteen. Degas exhibited this sculpture, his only sculpture exhibited in his life, in 1881. He made it of wax and real clothing. It created a sensation. The statue in my photo is one of two plaster casts made from the wax original. And more than twenty cast bronze examples have been made, so it is likely you have seen one in a museum. Thank you for your positive comment.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was it looks European, so this being French Quarter makes sense.
ReplyDeletePourquoi pas , à condition d'avoir un bon livre avec moi!
ReplyDeletehello, back to blogs, internet finally came back.
