Le Lutetia (Weekend Street/Reflections # 65)

Paris, France

I was on Rue de Picardie about to cross Rue de Bretagne in the 3rd Arrondissement when I noticed the woman in the window smoking a cigarette. From a distance, she reminded me of Miss Marple but not so much when I got closer. There aren't many things I enjoy more than wandering around with my camera at night in European cities.

Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless of course there is a reflection.

  1. James, a great shot of nightlife in a cafe. Funny the women should remind you of Ms Marple. Was she knitting? Wonderful street photo.

  2. There is something very mysterious about the lighting and content of this photo. I can totally see why Ms Marple came to mind. What a delicious thought!

  4. Love the colors in this one. The hat probably makes her look like miss Marple from a distance, but I don't think she smokes, haha.

  5. Very nice street shot, and a very Parisian feel to it.
Mine is in London but bears some similarities - same angle, women peeping out of the window, but mine is more reflection than street photo

  8. Wonder if she saw you, I'm amazed people are allowed to smoke inside there.

  10. Miss Marple would never smoke!! This lady reminds me more of an old Coco Chanel, or even Karen Blixen (who smoked very much )
