"Street photography is a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."
As the little kid growing up in bucks county and going to neshaminy schools, New Hope represented a magical place of art and interesting people and escape from the conformity of the times.
ReplyDeleteMy photo today was shot at Waikiki Beach. May not seem like a street shot when down. Shore is its own category, but here walking on the beach is the street and qualifies in my mind. Aloha pal. Have a great weekend!
Interesting capture! I understood more of what it was with your explanation. That 2023 maybe a year of freedom for us all:)
ReplyDeleteI also looked at your challenge during Christmas week. Beautiful. I did not feel well during that week, and sorry I missed it, but fortunately you had a good response!
ReplyDeleteNeat reflection, are CDs still in fashion? I don't know, I'd rather listen to records.
ReplyDeleteDuble entrendre indeed!
ReplyDeleteI think nowadays CD's are old hat but it seems records are coming back. I still have some of my LP's and the equipment to play them on although i have to admit it is not very often. Good shot James and thanks for hosting. Have very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful street shot with a touch of Noir!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what her feelings were seeing you with the camera?
ReplyDeleteMost of our CD shops here have gone out of business now.
Thanks for continuing your site again this year, it fits
things well.

Oh how technology change. Her cell phone now plays music, has a camera, and even still makes phone calls. CD's replaced LP records, and in turn have been replaced by digital files. What a story your photo tells.
