Umbrella (Weekend Street/Reflections # 114)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

About ten years ago it started to rain while I was walking in Philadelphia and I realized I didn't have an umbrella. I remember seeing a woman with an umbrella walking briskly across the street. Somehow I knew she would turn around and look at me, so I had my camera ready. Unfortunately, I got more than just a picture. I also got the song Umbrella by Rihanna stuck in my head for the rest of the day. 😳

                                              Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

  1. That's what photography does, captures a moment. It's amazing how we can look good picture we took even years ago and be transported back to that moment. Have a wonderful weekend! James

  2. How did you know she would look back? I guess she saw you standing in the rain with no cover and planned to take you under her umbrella-- until she realized your true motive.

  3. She is giving you quite the look. Could be curiosity, wonder, fear, or desire. You can take your pick of meanings.

  4. I read into the picture that she would offer to share the umbrella.
