Le pettegole (Weekend Street/Reflections # 130)

 Venice, Italy

I couldn't understand what they were saying but it seemed like gossip. Maybe it was their body language or maybe because they looked around and then lowered their voices as they talked. In any case, it reminded me of the title of a painting from the 19th-century Venetian artist Luigi Pastega "Le Pettegole" (in English The Gossips, ou Les Potins en francais).

                                           Have a great weekend!

  3. Pretty snooty stuff they're talking of, the person on the left has her chin high.

  6. Those women in coats!! When I was in Venice you could tell the local (middleaged or older) because they all wore fur coats and sunglasses - even at night. It was hilarious. I went to church, a small turn out and we were the only tourists. Everyone bar 1 was female. All in those coats....hehehe.
