Hero (Weekend Street/Reflections # 185)

 Newport Beach, California

A man reading about a local lifeguard hero who lost his life in the line of duty. Lifeguard Ben Carlson had over 500 rescues until a fateful day in 2014 when he was killed by a massive wave.

                                             Have a great weekend!

  2. Oahu recently lost a beloved lifeguard and surfer was killed by a shark. And of course, Newport Beach is where Duke kahanamoku made his famous surfboard rescue of people from a sinking boat. One can help thinking how confident men are in their bodies. That guy has an amazing pot belly and feels no need to cover it in public. Just an observation. Wishing you a blessed weekend. Thank you for helping hello Aloha
