Most of the old churches near my house have little cemeteries in back. This is a park like setting near the cemetery of a 240 year old church. I've walked around here a few times but I've never seen another person around.This post was inspired by my blogging friend Malyss. She finds and posts wonderful pictures of benches on a daily basis. Now I find myself really noticing all of the different styles of benches that are all around.
It's surprising how many benches there are when you start noticing them. I think they make really interesting pictures.

I know what you mean. Ever since I joined Malyss and the other bench-watchers at RuneE's "Bench on Friday" meme (at Visual Norway), I find myself on the lookout for interesting benches in Jerusalem.

It is nice to roam around cemeteries, especially the old ones. Yes, usually you have it all to yourself.

Benches? What a great idea! I've seen beautiful benches in Maryland too. I've photographed a few myself, come to think of it!

ReplyDeleteFor my camera I have the kit lens and a 70-300mm zoom. This is my first dedicated lens. This year our budget was a little tight so I asked for the 50 mm f1.8 instead of the f1.4 knowing Santa would be more likely to oblige with the price tag of the 1.8 -under $100. I had borrowed some lenses to experiment with, and wow...what a difference a lens makes. Next I think I'll go for a macro lens but an image stabilized zoom would be nice too. :)
Good for you for shooting in manual - you will learn so much! I decided to learn to push my camera to its limits before upgrading...plus get some lenses first.
I guess you won't ask me any photography questions after this! I obviously love to 'talk' about it. :)
