Fishing? wow, hope they do get some...cool shot James.
ReplyDeleteFishing from the deep freezer :-)
ReplyDeleteYou really have to be crazy about fishing to do that.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the California weather while you can, James.
Wow amazing winter.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
A picture of dedication. Maybe the fish taste better when caught in the winter. One thing is sure -- the fish won't spoil lying on the bank in the hot sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI always thought of fishing as a laid back half asleep in the sun sort of thing. Yep, you have to be dedicated to fish in the winter.
I would not feel safe on that ice, it does not seem to be very solid..but at least, they are sure to get FRESH fish!^_^
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast with your vacations!
I am craving a cup of tea now. That is a perfect weather to sit home staring at the fire
ReplyDeleteI could never see the fun in ice fishing--but I like your picture
ReplyDeleteI always admire ice fishermen for staying out in the cold..That's an awesome picture!
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture but it sure does look cold. Hope you having a great vacation :)
ReplyDeleteinteresting capture james. almost looks like the fishing is an after thought.
ReplyDeleteplease tell me you are having fab food and that your trip (sans the rain) has been wodnerful.
you have to be really sure of the ice to venture thereon - mine is an icy reflection this week too.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr...are they fishing? Hope you aren't rained out is CA. Not sure if I'll come up with a photo this week...I'm in the photography doldrums.
ReplyDeleteWonderful wintry shot ;-)
ReplyDeleteGuess you're changing snow for RAIN, eh? We've got wild wet windy weather her in California.
Hugs and blessings,
I really like this photo! It would be a nice photo even without the reflection, but reflection of the men really adds the special dimention that makes the photo memorable! Well done!
ReplyDeleteA nice photo - hope they catch something.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cold winter pastime...brrrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteCarrie Bradshaw...
Gotta love ice fishing, how was the catch?

Oh James that looks like dangerous ice! Great shot though! :)
ReplyDeleteHi James, hope you're having a good time in California and that you'll be fishing soon! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's raining as I write this...hope you are enjoying so. Cal! And, I agree with those who think fishing in the ice is second to sitting beside a nice fireplace! But, you captured an amazing scene so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThis is really a neat reflection, but I hope these guys know about the open water near by.
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying dry in California too.
Becky
Wow, even their reflections look frozen. Enjoy your time in California!
ReplyDeleteFishing will be fun. At least there is some life in the deep of winter. Happy Weekend Reflections to everyone. My post today is Venice in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteThey look oh so excited.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you are going to find any change in the amount of water you are going to see :) depending though where you are heading to...
ReplyDeleteI like this one very much. I've done water also, although mine is a bit subtle. You can see it here:

Fishing for frozen fish ? I bed it's nicer in California for the moment !
ReplyDeleteBrrrr ... it's beautiful, but I am getting cold just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteA lovely reflective scene .... but oh man, only the fishermen could be out there enjoying the cold weather - hehe!
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful reflection! Brrr... I can feel the cold. Have a blessed week. TY for another wonderful Weekend Reflections.
ReplyDeleteThose guys almost look as though they are standing on such fragile ice that it almost seems close to water! Brave souls! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they catch something other than a cold!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture.
ReplyDeleteI really hasn't been too terribly cold since you've been gone.
Missing you and Vicki!
Er, uh, California is having cold weather right now, but not as cold as Pennsylvania! Hubby is from Meadville, up by Erie. He still talks about how cold it got there in the winters!
ReplyDeleteNow that looks cold! These guys must really love to fish. Great shot James. Hoping you're having fun! Kathy
ReplyDeleteWhere are they stepping on? Thin ice? Scary to me... But very nice shot! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
That shot scares the Dickens out of me! That ice doesn't LOOK thick enough to be standing on! I'm sure it IS... but it doesn't look it.
ReplyDeleteThey are brave.
ReplyDeleteIce seems to be broken.
I feel scared.
I hope you're having fun in sunny California James! This looks awfully cold!!
ReplyDeleteOh my...they look awful close to open water!
ReplyDeleteCool shot!
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
Is this ice fishing? whatever the case may be, they are two very dedicated fishermen!
ReplyDelete& this scene is a lovely weekend reflection James!
Brrrr...cold feet, very "cool" reflection!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo James, but IMHO, NO fish tastes that good. I'd be inside with the cocoa!!
ReplyDeleteSweet! And snow is not easy to expose so nicely, well done!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot, I really like the composition.
ReplyDeleteNice reflection! I prefer the warmer climes lke So Cal though!!
ReplyDeleteTreading on thin ice...? Lovely photo though!!
