The Embers of the Day
I took this picture last week in Newtown. I also captured a reflection of this scene in a window so I think you will be seeing this view again someday.
I enjoyed those lights leading into the photo - always a "good thing".
PS Thank you for the comment :-) I used a Canon 40D with a Sigma 70mm/2.8 DG. The filter was a UV-filter that I always use. They were shot in RAW and converted in PS CS4.
I like the dark outlines and the brooding sky with the golden glow concentrated in the middle. The dotted lights add a spooky effect. Cheers. Melbourne Daily Photo

ReplyDeleteWhat a mysterious image: lights, clouds, trees and shapes of things...
ReplyDeleteYes I really like the way the line of the roof is traced in those small lights.

ReplyDeleteTime to light the candles and snuggle up.

ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I need to get out of the house more around sunset, I can't see it at all from our house.
I like these kinds of photos - tree outlines, house roofs and the sun setting in the distance. Very nice!

Oh yes, I can see the small glow of the stove and all the embers of the long winter day. A real story of the skies.
