The Simple Life

I have lots of pictures to go through which can be overwhelming, so I decided to post a peaceful picture. I took this at Newport Beach around sunset either just before the storms rolled in or in between storms.

I decided to add this to Watery Wednesday which has always been one of my favorite memes. Checkout Watery Wednesday here.

  2. When I see such lovely peaceful pictures, I really miss my sailboat. The subtle colors of the sky are so pretty and I love the lone gull.

  24. Excellent composition, James...the sailboat is in the right position and the bird is perfect, and I really like the way the water and sky blend together...I don't see this as so peaceful or serene, though, 'cause the water appears to be moving - anticipating a storm, as you suggest...

  25. Hi James, Thank you for nice comment on Venice flooding. I have to tell you that it was one of the most inspiring photo trips I have took. There was endless endless endless views no matter where you turn. Talk about reflection opportunities in the city surrounded by water :-)
    I highly recommend it.

  31. Your photos, though very different from Mr. Little's, are also gorgeous. That sunset shot below makes me want to be on a patio overlooking the ocean with a superb glass of wine in my hand.
