This was my favorite jogger and I almost missed him because he blended in so well.
This tree is really big. I'm going to come back and take more pictures in Spring and Fall.
What's wrong with this picture?
I took my car to get serviced today. The service place is right across the street from another cemetery. This one had several people walking and jogging around it so I joined the crowd and snapped a few pictures while I waited for my car.
Aha.....I was going to say it depends on when you took the picture, but then I see you answered it for me.
ReplyDeletetrès belles photos du cimetière, et puis j'adore celle avec le chien qui courre ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, and the jogging dog was (ahem) just dying to go running in the cemetery...
ReplyDeleteCemeteries make for great pictures. I love the big tree, can't wait to see it in other seasons. The sign really made me laugh, just a little late, don't you think? LOL
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
That's an incredibly beautiful shot with the tree.
ReplyDeleteLook at that exuberant dog! You gave me a good idea here. Somehow missed the previous post with its exquisite simplicity.
ReplyDeleteI like the dog shot and the last one is imperatively funny, but this time let me honor the wonderful tree in B&W!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. I love that tree in black and white. :) The dog looks like he is getting some good exercise. The Chirstmas sign is just plain stupid. Almost a month and half later....pffft. And then they have the gall to put a wreath there. I would say that is my Valentines wreath LOL :)
ReplyDeleteThis beautyful tree seems to protect the place.. Seen from France, your cemeteries look so different! Here, no dogs allowed, all stones in order along straight paths, ..and no funny signs!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! The pooch looks like he is on a serious run...maybe lunchtime? The tree is a beauty! And, the sign...oh brother! Something is terribly wrong with the picture...for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm really impressed by that beautiful tree, it's huge indeed and I bet the tree will be fabulous in Spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking a time there. These pictures are great!
Funny sign that LOL

Hello James, Thank you for the comment on my farm post. My lenses are just from a canon package. I have two: the standard 18-55mm; and, the 55-250. I would like to invest in others, but the money is not as free-flowing as I might like just right now. I have the incamera style set with a lot of contrast and sharpness and more often than not I shoot with a wide-open aperture. Whatever rocks yer boat, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of taking shots of the tree in different seasons. Steffe has a tree that he does that with and it is just SUCH a good idea. Just as much for the viewer as for the photographer.
ReplyDeleteThe jogging dog is too cute. And I love that tree, it's huge. Perfect in B&W. We are heading to Mississippi for a family wedding this weekend. I hope to sneak away long enough to take some shots of Friendship Cemetery. There are quite a few Civil War Era graves there and it's supposedly where Memorial Day started. Kathy
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like all three photos in different ways. The dog is adorable, and could very well be my old dog Daisy, who passed away at the age of 15 1/2 about three years ago. But Daisy was a girl, and I see this dog is a he. The tree is fabulous; what tales it could tell. And the sign! I love signs like this and photograph them whenever I can.
ReplyDeleteCemeteries offer incredible photo opportunities.
ReplyDeleteI love the first shot! That little dog certainly is energetic. As always, people just don't pay attention to the signs!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got a 50mm! I love it. Also love the way you got your little jogging friend in mid jog!
ReplyDeleteI find cemeteries are wonderful places to explore. The inscriptions often give insight to the era they were made.
ReplyDeleteGreat tree and what a cute dog. Nice pictures:-)
ReplyDeleteGood idea about the tree. I should choose some spots to do that. Officially, that is. I can't think of any I have made a concerted effort to do.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos. So nice in black and white.
ReplyDeleteEarlier in my life, I spent quite a bit of time at cemeteries documenting my family history. I love reading the old tombstones.
ReplyDeleteImpressive indeed.
ReplyDeleteMust be interesting to be able to read the names and dates, being overtaken by the ever growing tree, throughout every season, Christmas far or near.
Professional photography. Bravo.
A wonderful Thursday for you.
I think someone forgot to pull out the sign or forgot to change the date.
ReplyDeleteI could understand why you want to come back to take a shot of the tree. Well huge and tall indeed!
There are trees with the big design in the background.
ReplyDeleteIt is a way of very elegant branch.
That last one made me smile! Can you believe it's March already? Where did February go to?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little jogger! I love the photo of the tree, it would be wonderful to follow it through spring, summer and fall! I look forward to seeing it in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteYour favorite jogger was adorable : )
