Great picture! It's interesting that the reflection actually shows more detail.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Sunny :)
The reflection is more beautyful than the subject!A kind of strange iceberg without ice ...
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! For me it reminds Three Islands" by Martha Pan
ReplyDeleteon the lake behind "La Coque" in Kirchberg - Lux.
You are also a fabulous artist dear friend! :)
And the nature as well!
Happy WEekend Reflections,
and thanks for this meme

The rock reminds «Louis» of the Rock of Gibraltar.
ReplyDelete«Louis'» weekend reflection post publishes at midnight Paris time. He linked to McLinky too soon...
Absolutely beautiful - I'm amazed that the reflection is such a different color!
ReplyDeleteSo between a rock and a 'watery' place there is a beautiful reflection! :)
ReplyDeleteNot so abstract but the beginning of a story...
ReplyDeleteYou are right, the reflection does look better!
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning reflection, James. The colors of nature are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Great reflection! The dark blue really sets off the rock.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a great reflection! so clear.
ReplyDeleteFantastic reflections James.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
That's a gorgeous, warm reflection. A little bit of sunshine and a skilled photographer, make wonders or any subject. Wonderful work James.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
I love how reflections make a half into a perfect whole...Happy weekend!

Perfect reflection - the whole thing looks like an arrowhead! cool :)
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. It reminds me of the Pyramids for some reason or one of those hats (I wish I knew the name but I can picture it in my mind) I like this a lot and when the reflection is better than the original I like it even more. Very nice photo my friend. TBK Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a piece of art right there! Nice capture! Bee-u-tee-ful!
ReplyDeleteI was noticing the reflection has more detail than the actual rock. How very lovely. In fact, stunning. This photo has a feeling about it I can't really put into words.
ReplyDeleteThis is great and the fact that the reflection looks better than the rock actually showcases the reflection, I think. It's similar to the rock reflection I posted last week from Yosemite's Mirror Lake/Tenaya Creek.
ReplyDeleteWow. This is beautiful. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the lines and angles. the reflection is beautiful. Great abstract shot!
ReplyDeleteReally nice capture!! I like the "arrowhead" look that the rock and reflection creates :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the time of day James. The extreme contrasts are near impossible to capture especially with digital or color transparency film.
ReplyDeleteIt's still a good shot and you were there with a camera. How could you not take this photo?
Now imagine this scene with early morning (or late afternoon) light. Warm with long shadows. Maybe you'll have the opportunity to return. Meanwhile let's enjoy this fine image.
What a perfect reflection! I love the shape, lines, and simplicity of it.
ReplyDeleteIt is reminiscent of the pyramids in Egypt for me, Jame. A really good example of a reflection.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shape and colors. Together the rock and its reflection look like the profile of some animal's head, maybe a dog.
ReplyDeleteYup ... I'm often surprised at the detailed beauty of reflections too. Nifty capture ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Beautiful colors and reflection on that one:-)
ReplyDeleteThe reflection is simply awesome. there's so much detail in it.
ReplyDeleteI've notice that the reflection sometimes trumps reality too. Nice shot
ReplyDeletenice reflection! gotta love sunny days.
ReplyDeleteStunning detail in this reflection! The lighting is so woderfully bright!
ReplyDeleteThe hightlights blew out, but the reflection is perfect. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteDang, you can make a rock look good!

That's a nice one! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love it! so zen-y

I love the reflection! A CP filter would have taken the exposure edge off the face of that rock and it would be interesting to see what it would have done to the reflection.
ReplyDeleteI love this, I have a fondness for abstract looking water shots :) I agree with Louis, it reminds me of the Rock of Gibralter. Kathy
ReplyDeleteAwesome James. Truely unique.
ReplyDeleteB.
wow, that is cool. the reflection looks like a wet rock!
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
The texture in the reflection is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe light of the day makes the colors of water so blue and the reflection of the rocks so brown.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. I won;t pass up the chance.
Great crystal clear reflection.
ReplyDeleteROFL!!! I love this James, you managed to take an interesting photo, despite the light at this time of day!
ReplyDeleteAs I have already wrote many times, this is my favorite kind of reflection and a really great image.
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflection, James! The detail is stunning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful looking reflection.
ReplyDeleteHow usual, even the stone is unusual with the sharp edges.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent shot!!
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteKeep meaning to tell you, James, the contractors on the jail being built in Greensboro are from Newtown!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Weekend Reflection. It gets me thinking about photography in a new way!

I like this one. It almost looks like one big rock.
ReplyDeleteAre my eyes playing tricks on me? To me, it looks like floating lips!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful James..and it looks so distant- This is a wonderful abstract!
ReplyDeleteThank you-
Marvelous photo, James!
ReplyDeleteI too like the reflection better than the original subject.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a psalm to me.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful Sunday.

It reminds me of stepping stones, which make another kind of "bridge" across the water -:)
