An old red barn behind the leaves
I drove about a mile along a creek on a dirt road and discovered this old barn that looked like it was converted for other uses. I like the green and red especially the green from the moss covered roof. I can't decide which focus I like better (on the leaves or on the barn). Solebury Township looks like an interesting place. I plan to explore it more in the future.
I'm taking a break from blogging for a few days. I plan to return Friday for Weekend Reflections or perhaps a little sooner. Have a great week everyone!
Beautiful photos! I think I like the focus on the leaves better because they're new and a sign of spring! Really tough to choose though.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to your return! Cool photos of the barn!
ReplyDeleteHave a great break my friend. I live the barn myself. It's cool looking with that moss on the roof. But the whole pictures just give me a fantastic rustic sense. :)
ReplyDeletebeau jeux avec le focus et la profondeur de champs
ReplyDeleteIt's a difficult choice but I think I like the first picture best, it looks like a painting.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off James!
Sunny :)
I like the out of focus barn better. :) The lighting in the leaves is sweet too.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice break James. Lovely barn - sure stands out against the green.
ReplyDeleteLovely red barn. There's something about old American bars ... they seem to almost be able to tell a story.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful barn, and I love both shots. I think I like the first a bit better, especially the light in the leaves. But you did catch a nice reflection in the second :) Have a good break! Kathy
ReplyDeleteFirst photo, first photo! I can really 'feel' Pennsylvania in these photos.
ReplyDeleteHey! My WV is 'fries'! Anybody hungry?
Oh, great contrast and a wonderful effect! Beautiful shots, thanks!
ReplyDelete:-)
Love the green against the red. That's cool how you presented both types of shots. I like them both. Great presentation illustrating how depth of field can change a visual story!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!I loved both!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you

Wonderful contrast!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old barn James... looks like it's been around for a while.
ReplyDeleteHope if you're aways you'll be in a beautiful place shooting pictures. Will look forward to hearing about it...
The first picture leaves some room to dreams...
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it's hard to choose. They are both very nice. Enjoy your break!

i love exploring new roads. they always lead to exciting places. this is a great find. beautiful pictures- both perspectives. have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI really like both photos! Too hard to choose between.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the way light has a way of glowing spring green leaves. This photo with the bright greens laid over the red of that wonderful old barn fills my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat red color is the same as what my parents painted their home. I LOVE it!
As you know, we used to live in Bucks County...we'd love to drive the back roads - the scenery was magnificent and the old farms (really old) were magnificent. I like both of these shots, but the second is most successful, I think...
ReplyDeleteThe hut wrapped in the moss of the roof seems to melt into it in Nature.
ReplyDeleteIt is the beautiful season!!
This is truly beautiful James. I love it! Barns are some of my favorite things to photograph.
ReplyDeletenice find! hope you show us more of the area.
ReplyDeleteJames I like the first photo where the really green leaves are in focus! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos both! I think the 1st photo is a bit more visually interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love red barns!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well!
