Great photo and great challenge! Way too many to count if you get into the combinations within the combinations -- so I'll stop with the one big white one! Have a happy day!
Looks like there is a place at the top left that has been plastered over.
I see 48 squares and rectangles if you count the one that is platered over....all the panes in the windows and the bottom as well as the top of the window and the entire window. It would be 50 if you also counted the top and bottom of the red door as well as the 'whole' of the red door on the right.
65 if you count each plank in the doors and the window framing. I didn't count the plastered-over window. Nice colors! What mill got a fresh coat of paint?
Fabulous. Your work is starting to remind me of paintings lately. This one has the stark beauty of a Mondrian. I really love this shot! Love the way it's framed, close up without any outside distractions, just the simple beauty of light, color, and shape.
As it is nearly half past four in the morning, probably the best moment to admit that your photography is indeed able to keep one awake in the middle of the night, making it way too alluring to be missed. Reaching as well 50. Wishing you a wonderful Friday.
Really beautiful in its stark simplicity and vibrand colors... and minimum 60, but could probably milk it for a few more... And what I really want to know is what is hiding inside the place ?!?
Great photo! I usually don't leave a link in a comment box, but you have to see this photo of mine. The two photos look almost identical and we live on opposite sides of the country!

Absolutely beautiful. I love this. Okay your going to think I'm nuts but I see 72 :) Have a great Thursday :)
ReplyDeleteDoes that include the doors within the door frames? And the upper and lower parts of the windows? ;)
ReplyDeleteFantastic find, James! You have to admire someone who can paint their house white and this striking red!
Oh, and I counted 46, if the answer to my two questions is yes. :)
ReplyDelete65 if you count each plank in the doors and the window framing. I didn't count the plastered-over window. Nice colors! What mill got a fresh coat of paint?

ReplyDeleteSounds like a school math question. I'll block that from my mind. I do love the red and white and geometric designs to it.
ReplyDeleteI think I see 49. I do like that red!
ReplyDeleteI love the red accents on the white - very striking!
ReplyDeleteI stopped at 70, but could have gone on. I hated this in school, so why am I doing it for fun??? :=}
I hate counting, I prefer poetry. This looks so much like a wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteToo much to be counted! Funny question and wonderful image.
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC, James!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting assortment of doors and windows! I think some steps might be missing...don't go out that door! Love it!

oh I really like this--so simple, so fresh
ReplyDeleteLOL, all those red doors and windows should cause an Episcopalian to give Pause.
ReplyDelete36 squares and 3 rectangles, not counting the
ReplyDeleteframework around them? A great canvas - someone had good eye for making outdoor art.
Very catchy shot! That combination of red and white and how it placed ... very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI started counting, then saw the hidden one. Very cool. Beautiful pic even without that.
ReplyDeletedo you include the planks of timber the door is made of?
ReplyDeleteVery nice orderly wall.
Lovely contrast ... I particularly like the way you've held detail in the wall.
