This is different type of bridge reflection. I was under the bridge taking pictures of this reflection when I heard a couple walking and talking on the bridge above me. I was reminded of the stories that I heard as a boy about trolls under bridges. This time it was only me trolling for reflections. With the exception of the leaves in the top left corner and some floating patches of algae every thing in this photo is a reflection on the water. I turned it upside down because I think it looks better this way.

So what were they saying?!
ReplyDeleteJust kidding.
It's too bad the "real" trolls never had cameras. :)
Great shot and imagination, James.
Okay, you got me! I did NOT realize it was a reflection until I read your comment!!! Wonderfully done!
ReplyDeleteI like it Mr. Troll. So where where you standing? Or should I say lurking James?
ReplyDeleteImpressive James, I think you are always so creative!
ReplyDeleteYou got a perfect reflection shot!
Léia
Perfect title! This is so neat to look at!
ReplyDeleteSo very cool, James! So you are a troll now...HA! It almost looks like you were under water shooting up. See what turning it upside down does to me! I like this. You have blue sky...we haven't seen blue sky in days and days. Maybe today will be better...June Gloom at its NOT so finest!
ReplyDeleteTHis is such a good idea. Great shot
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, the colors are amazing. What a huge reflected area.
ReplyDeletebeau reflet, on a l'impression d'etre sous l'eau

Hi James,
ReplyDeletequesta è veramente una foto fantastica !!!
Bellissima :-))
Beautiful reflection! You got the view the troll gets when standing on his head. And I am partial to bridge pics.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photograph James.
ReplyDeleteCostas
It's a masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteSo cool James! At first I thought you were under the water.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reflection, James!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to figure what was being reflected when I found out that the whole picture is actually a reflection! Turning a picture up-side-down is such an ingenious idea.
ReplyDeleteI like the algae(?)... It makes the photo looked scarred...
ReplyDeleteThe photo creates a feeling that earthy landscapes are floating in water worlds! A beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteHmmm… you seem to be in a children's stories roll this week. First the crooked house, now this. :D
ReplyDeleteI just love how creative you are with your reflection photos! I don't think I would ever have thought of doing anything like this on my own. Fantastic result, including the algae!
Troll?
ReplyDeleteDon't talk about «Louis'» Congresscritter that way!
See you again Sunday.
That's lovely! And yes! it does make me feel like a troll!
ReplyDeleteFE, FI, FO, FUM, I smell the blood of an Englishman!
ReplyDeleteOh wait. That's the wrong fairy tale!
Anyway, I like the idea of you being the troll, even if it were for only a few minutes AND you were a a NICE troll!
Excellent reflection, too!
A striking shot - love the creative approach!
ReplyDeleteNeat shot!
ReplyDeletegreat idea James! though I did have to imagine what it would look like upside down. A great shot either way I think.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Fortunately you gave some explanations, I was looking for the reflection, it's so perfect !
ReplyDeleteFun perspective... looks like you're shooting up out of the water. DO you have Scandinavian background? I didn't think too many American children heard about trolls.
ReplyDeleteLike Diane and some others, I thought you were underwater with a $50K camera. You actually have to get involved to view this shot. It's kind of like a Hitchcock movie.
ReplyDeleteOh non James, you haven't become a troll, have you?!! Love this!
ReplyDeleteThis is just great, James!
ReplyDeleteVery original! I also think it looks better this way.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the whimsical nature of this photo--and it fills my eyes. Wonderful, just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're looking up at the bridge from under the water! Very cool photo :D
ReplyDeleteSuch vibrant summer colors! You just reminded me that it's good to change perspective from time to time and learn to see the world anew. Sometimes being upended can be an opportunity for learning.
ReplyDeleteLooks great up or upside down, James. Enjoy your frequent creative touches with perspective!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! And I know about the fairytail too!
ReplyDeleteLove this perspective and the memories your experience conjures up in my own mind today ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Wonderful, I really like this shot!
ReplyDeleteI think I may have to visit Buck's County soon!
ReplyDeleteVery creative and very good. It's relaxing to look at, too.
ReplyDeleteI missed the Linky List by an hour as we've just got home from the mountain. You'l;l see my mountain reflection next week, but if you want to see my this week reflection it is here.
ReplyDeleteYour bridge shot is awesome and the story fun.
It's beautiful, nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a reflection and a half. Great to see a reflection from another angle. Looks amaazing took me a while to work it out. Carla
ReplyDeleteNice one Mr Troll.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I hope you are well. The past weeks heat has been incredible hasn't it. Not even in FL was it like that! I have enjoyed the rainy days!
ReplyDeleteJames very interesting concept.
