ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that house, the land, the old dilapidated barn. Almost came out of lurkdom when you posted that glorious photo on November 29th, but didn't. Now I see the house again and just have to comment.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I love this house and property so much. Maybe they remind me of my childhood in rural Quebec.
Whatever the reason, your photos of the home and land speak to me on a deep emotional level. I feel a real visceral pull, looking at them. Wonderful.

ReplyDeleteEach of these has its own charm. I want to stroll down the blacktop, enjoying the cool air and fallen leaves, I want to fly with the geese, and I want to walk to the farmhouse, knock on the door, and join the family by the hearth. Lovely series.

I love the SLOW in the first shot. Like it's a place anyone with common sense would speed, duh. I like the movement in the goose shot!

The smell of a wood fire on a cold winter morning is absolutely awesome. I can almost smell the wood fire from that house.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. Seems an old fable or fairy tale could accompany them. The first I can see hanging in a gallery or a museum, the movement in the second changes up the mood, and the third brings in a human element. I like the view through the branches.

ReplyDeleteI was using a 18-55 kit lens - one reason why I want to get a new one. I shot the photo at 1/256 at f/14, at 29 mm.
I love these pictures! That first one is like a deep breath, sounds goofy but I felt that when I looked at it. It's like saying chill, enjoy yourself. I love this time of year too. I can do without the early dark nights, but there is so much to love about the seasons. Beautiful pictures.

Found your blog via Rune (Norway): I like these 3 different images. One good thing about winter is "Slow down" (here we have had lots of snow and slowing down for a long time already). The panning of the birds is VERY fine, I wish I had been able to get such a shot when I played with panning recently. And the last one is so full of peace. Nice!

Excellent set of photographs. I like especially the geese which you have captured so adroitly with your panning. The background is sliding by and their wings are a blur of motion. Good eye.

Used to walk in Tyler Park almost everyday year 'round, used to enjoy the scenes you post-thank you. Nice to see my old haunts-and beautifully captured as well. Happy day to you.
