I love, love, love that house, the land, the old dilapidated barn. Almost came out of lurkdom when you posted that glorious photo on November 29th, but didn't. Now I see the house again and just have to comment.
I'm not sure why I love this house and property so much. Maybe they remind me of my childhood in rural Quebec.
Whatever the reason, your photos of the home and land speak to me on a deep emotional level. I feel a real visceral pull, looking at them. Wonderful.
Superb! Although I get tired of the frequent rain here in Seattle, I do love this time of year as well. For me your pics capture the moody but peaceful feel of the time and the place.
Hi ragione, c'è un tempo per fare delle cose e gustarsi queste cose ! La casa è il mio posto preferito... il luogo da cui si scapperebbe, ma il luogo dove anche non si vede l'ora di ritornare. Buona serata :) Myriam
Each of these has its own charm. I want to stroll down the blacktop, enjoying the cool air and fallen leaves, I want to fly with the geese, and I want to walk to the farmhouse, knock on the door, and join the family by the hearth. Lovely series.
that 1st pic is perfect in b&w - looks great! I don't know how you captured that 2nd shot, but that's really cool!!! Looks like your house is warm & cozy, but freeeezing outside... LoL! =)
A time to dream about your pictures...^-^ Would like to get lost at the end of this road, fly away with the geese, light a fire in this wonderful house..
These are wonderful. Seems an old fable or fairy tale could accompany them. The first I can see hanging in a gallery or a museum, the movement in the second changes up the mood, and the third brings in a human element. I like the view through the branches.
I love these pictures! That first one is like a deep breath, sounds goofy but I felt that when I looked at it. It's like saying chill, enjoy yourself. I love this time of year too. I can do without the early dark nights, but there is so much to love about the seasons. Beautiful pictures.
Hi James, Thanks for commenting on my blog. I like monochrome photos which are stunning! Yes, you captured the changing season!!! Have a wonderful day.
Adorable set of pictures, one more wonderful than other! My favorite is the second one, if all motion and so beautiful message about lifetime that it left in my heart! thanks a lot! Léia :)
Found your blog via Rune (Norway): I like these 3 different images. One good thing about winter is "Slow down" (here we have had lots of snow and slowing down for a long time already). The panning of the birds is VERY fine, I wish I had been able to get such a shot when I played with panning recently. And the last one is so full of peace. Nice!
Excellent set of photographs. I like especially the geese which you have captured so adroitly with your panning. The background is sliding by and their wings are a blur of motion. Good eye.
Hi James- New follower. Just tripped over your blog....you know how that goes. I live in Maine and plan to join in with weekend reflections. BUT-I used to live in beautiful Newtown PA. Used to walk in Tyler Park almost everyday year 'round, used to enjoy the scenes you post-thank you. Nice to see my old haunts-and beautifully captured as well. Happy day to you.
superbes, j'aime beaucoup la premiere

These are just wonderful and I love the transition from color to black and white. You can just feel this with these captures. Excellent :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. I like how the branches in the last one frame the picture.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful my friend, and I would love to stroll down that lane.

I love the SLOW in the first shot. Like it's a place anyone with common sense would speed, duh. I like the movement in the goose shot!
ReplyDeletesuch a relaxing mood..
ReplyDeleteA poem written in pictures.
ReplyDeleteChapeau !
Please have a good Thursday you all.
The smell of a wood fire on a cold winter morning is absolutely awesome. I can almost smell the wood fire from that house.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. Seems an old fable or fairy tale could accompany them. The first I can see hanging in a gallery or a museum, the movement in the second changes up the mood, and the third brings in a human element. I like the view through the branches.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive. I love b&w.
ReplyDeleteI was using a 18-55 kit lens - one reason why I want to get a new one. I shot the photo at 1/256 at f/14, at 29 mm.

ReplyDeleteIs this house where you live? If so, how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLucy
(Even if not - it is still the last photo I warm too. Maybe because it reminds me of my childhood in rural Essex.)
I love this time of year too, and you present it so beautifully in your photo's.

ReplyDeleteI love it too James! These pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year too and you have captured it so well.
ReplyDeleteAww, the stark beauty of Bucks County.

ReplyDeleteYou have captured the essence of fall/winter for me.
ReplyDeleteWow, great photos. I can see why you love the season. The first really beckons to me.
ReplyDeleteFantastic images! I love the old farm house, I can almost smell the wood stove from here.

ReplyDeleteI love all three but, the motion in the middle photo is superb! I am really in awe of it and keep returning to gaze at it again! Wow!
ReplyDeleteAnd I so appreciate how you see and capture the beauty in things, James.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love all these photos - each different but each redolent of the season.

Your advice is good and the illustrations beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is very interesting with those words : slow... Of course I'd slow if I was about to take this marvellous road...
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful shots!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos. but, it's the geese i love most. their flight, their grace... hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteThe stop of time.
ReplyDeleteThe flow of time.
There seem to be the both in this space.
The waves. . .
There is always.
In the inside of the heart, too.
Thank you.
