Pepsi and Turtles (Weekend Reflections # 86)

The Boardwalk Wildwood, New Jersey (The turtles and fish are part of a mural that's reflected in the window of a diner) If you look closely you will see a large Pepsi cup,stools and other things inside the diner.)

A couple of things:
1) May 14th will be the second year anniversary of Newtown Area Photo which seems like a good time to change the name Weekend Reflections. It's pretty much been just Weekend Reflections for a while anyway. Thanks for the support and great comments during the last two years! I'm moving back to California next week and I'm taking the long way home so Weekend Reflections will be on auto pilot from May 20th until mid June.

2)Weekend Reflections will live on but I'll be posting snapshots from the road and later photos of California as well as other places to my main blog Something Sighted .

    Nice mural, special because it's captured in a reflection.

    I've never been to Wildwood. As a kid, we always went to Ocean City, NJ.

    Seldom have I turtles feature in modern art! They always seem to be associated with legends! This reflection is very beautiful!

    I'm sure did not mean to convey an environmental message, James, but your image makes me think of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Well done. Glad Blogger was made to behave again. And have a smooth move, James.

    I have to apologize because my choice for Weekend Reflections is a old picture.

    Unfortunately, Gunner our Chesapeake Bay Retriever has not been doing well and at one point we thought we'd have to put him down. He's on quite a few meds and has improved a lot, but his arthritis has taken its toll. :(

    Your choice for this week is brilliant, James, and the suspense Blooger has put us through was sooooo worth...

    This way of taking picture of this painting enlight the subject, in my opinion ; the colors are so bright and so soft at the same time...

    Happy blog anniversary, James : that was a great idea you got two years ago : I just love this contest (and it is funny cause it is the next day of my own birthday, in fact... :D)...

    Wonderful shot James, the artist did a good rendition of the mural.

    RYC: I would love to visit the Southwest, and I am sure there will be lots of photo ops along the way back to California. Have a safe travel, and hope to join you as you re explore your native OC.

    Glad you still could post Weekend Reflections. The problems at Blogger got me all confused and I did some dumb things!
    If possible, could you delete pic 55, please, whenever you have time. I tried, since it brings one to my email site instead of my blog! (but apparently I don't know how to do it:(

    Enjoy your trip and your week end. Blogger is giving us a bit of an unwanted adventure. I have lost data on my blogs and it is still operating very slow. It took me two days to upload the photos for this post and the previous two days I could not even get into my blogs.

    Wildwood, New Jersey is one of my favorite places in the United States. Seriously! In fact, I love all the Jersey shore. Probably because of all the great childhood memories. You caught the wacky character of the place!
