I vant to be alone
Say hello to Greta. ;-) I think she's a Guernsey cow. To see other Outdoor Wednesday posts please click here. To see other Wordless Wednesday posts please click here.
I really like your look at rural America. A cow on a farm around here is scarce. Seldom seen. Those big silos that they used to store silage in for their cows in winter are setting empty. Where all the cows went is a kind of mystery. If we ask they say, "No money in milk cows."
That is one nice cow. Howdy Greta. You are fixing to "chew your cud" or have already started. If you don't know that cows chew their cud then you need to Google it. LOL
I am still making history on my Pick a Peck of Pixels blog. Today I posted a Zebra Butterfly with long tails. He is as big as your hand. Most have never seen one. Now you can see one at Pick a Peck of Pixels
Very, very lovely! I thought the scene looked familiar (as in "that kind of looks like PA"), and I saw you're in Newtown. I'm in Centre Co. Nice capture of our part of the world.
The scenery is so peaceful.. and what marvellous colors, so fresh! I'm not sure Greta is from Guernesey, those cows are really small; But anyway, Greta is lovely, and seems very happy the way she is!
oh wow! Hi Greta. Looks pretty peaceful to me. Happy WW
ReplyDeleteA very a-moo-sing cow!
ReplyDeleteHello Greta! You are sooo cute! What a beautiful landscape!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Aloha Greata...what a peaceful place you got going there :)
ReplyDeleteNow if that cow were in Australia she would be called an Illawarra Shorthorn. What breed do you folk know her by?

So alone!
ReplyDeleteGreta looks quite satisfied with herself! That is a beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteShe does look a little like Garbo :) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShe's the only spot of vivid color in a serene pastel image. Very good composition and funny choice of a title.
ReplyDeleteUdderly beautiful. I have a soft spot for cows, even though I have been kicked aplenty. Beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know if I can top all of the "pun"ishment going on here but the photo is beautiful and Greta seems very pleased with her situation!
ReplyDeleteRobin
A very nice, bucolic scene! I spent many happy times on farms like this one as a young lad!
ReplyDeleteRe: Ocala's flower bed. Bird's and bees? Are you always thinking of sex, James? Heh. Heh.
The scenery is so peaceful.. and what marvellous colors, so fresh!

Now see, if this were in Florida there would be a sign "Do Not Feed or Molest The Cow."
ReplyDeleteBTW, my son got a kick out of that alligator sign also.
I really enjoyed seeing your photos, they are very different from the area I live in. AND, I love your tag line…"I came, I saw, I photographed."
She looks like she is enjoying her day. Imagine being able to relax all day like that!
ReplyDeleteHehe, hello:)
ReplyDeleteJames,
ReplyDeleteExcellent Picture! The cow stands out... I love it!

Poor, poor Greta... all alone and no friends... wonder who she didn't cow-tow to? *grin*
