Winter Sunset over an Old Farm
Newtown, PA
It must have been a working farm at one time but now it's part of Core Creek Park. I was there taking pictures of big tree that I like when I noticed the old corn rows leading to a beautiful sunset.
Very well done with those rows of stalks pulling the eye back toward the glowing sunset. It's an interesting contrast, the warm glow on such a cold scene. This image communicates a deep and thoughtful mood.
Gorgeous! What a beautiful shot James. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteBreathtaking! That area of PA seems to have some wonderful farmland and barns.

Les lignes des champs de maïs ... toujours aussi photogéniques. Mais le ciel n'est pas pour rien dans la beauté de cette photo ! J'aime !
ReplyDeleteA landscape that evokes the winter paintings of Brueguel.

ReplyDeleteYou certainly was in the right place at just the right time,James.

I have a print from art dot com hanging on my wall that's similar to this!
I love the interest corn rows add too.
ReplyDeleteGreat light :-)
ReplyDeleteOften, the park service will lease the land back to the original owner for farming purposes, which may explain the corn.
Esta foto é maravilhosa! Amei! Gostei de conhecer seu blog também!

ReplyDeleteIn Buddhism, it is believed that Pure Land is in the west.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder! How peaceful and warm the sunset is!!
Thank you.
For someone who is a self taught photographer you shoot like a pro. The 2010 corn crop in Ontario has been one of the best ones in years.
ReplyDeleteIn cold air. . .
ReplyDeleteThe light seems to be going to warm people still more.
It is rays to infiltrate a heart.
Thank you.
