Winter Sunset over an Old Farm

Newtown, PA

It must have been a working farm at one time but now it's part of Core Creek Park. I was there taking pictures of big tree that I like when I noticed the old corn rows leading to a beautiful sunset.

  5. Very well done with those rows of stalks pulling the eye back toward the glowing sunset. It's an interesting contrast, the warm glow on such a cold scene. This image communicates a deep and thoughtful mood.

  15. Great light :-)

Often, the park service will lease the land back to the original owner for farming purposes, which may explain the corn.

  22. For someone who is a self taught photographer you shoot like a pro. The 2010 corn crop in Ontario has been one of the best ones in years.
