The little yellow guy on the right directed my attention to reflections on the ceiling and on the wall. If you look closely you might notice a little green man on the left pointing to a reflection of a Christmas ornament and the reflected Christmas tree lights above it.

Looking through a shop window I saw a statuette of a girl with her head bowed and arms to her side while blowing a horn. Then, happily, I noticed that she was surrounded by reflections! Happy Reflecting !

New York City. 5th Ave. Apple Store Coincidentally, exactly two years ago I posted another reflection of this golden building in a post titled "A Modern Coincidence". I like this one better because it has the big Apple reflection next to the building reflection. The see-through Apple cube is a great place to capture interesting reflections. I took a walk after celebrating my wife's birthday in NYC and found this reflection of a building. It was a touching tribute to a city that I love and have visited many times.

A couple of nights ago while walking to the train station I noticed that someone was staring at me from inside of a shop called Insomnia Cookies. On second look I saw that it was actually a poster in a store window across the street reflected on the side of a refrigerator. I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to buy any cookies but I did have enough time to take a photo of the reflection with my phone.
By the way, they deliver hot cookies until 3:00 a.m. Happy Reflecting!

The other day I noticed my cat Pierrot using my smartphone as a pillow. He happened to be right next to the computer where I was surfing the web. Fortunately, a camera was within arm's reach so I took advantage of the moment. Pierrot woke up, but I got a nice reflection surprise.

This building used to fascinate me when I was a little boy. I remember being so happy when my mother and I had dinner in the restaurant that used to be in it. We had a great time eating fondue and watching jets take off and land. I didn't go inside of the building this time but I did go in one of the jets.

I almost forgot how nice it feels to walk barefoot along the beach. It's only been a little more than a week but I miss it already. Even after several years, sometimes it still feels strange not living near a beach.

In a shop window next to the Newport Beach pier, I noticed this little Mexican man holding a big margarita glass. I stood at angle and took a shot, hoping it would look like he caught the reflection of the sun in his glass. The palm tree reflections are bonuses. :-)
I had a nice stay in my hometown, or more technically, my "home county" (I have lived in a few different cities in Orange County). At first the weather was a bit warmer and more humid than I expected, but towards the end, the comfortable ocean breezes kicked in and all was good. Have a nice and hopefully long weekend!!!

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania I took this shot on a very hot day. It was so hot that I decided to take a short-cut through a sports bar that is located above the train station. I was rewarded with a wonderful blast of cool air and a cool reflection to boot. I probably should have moved the menu from the bar because it obscured the reflection of the couple on the left. Oh well, I had to catch a train. :-)

One evening while walking past the fountain in Place Andre Malraux, I noticed blue underwater spot lights shining on a reflection of the top of a street lamp. Then suddenly the lights changed color to white and then to red. :-)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Philadelphia's City Hall building reflected in a window of another building. Actually, this is just the top part of the building. It's not easy to get more than that without a wide angle lens. The Philadelphia City Hall Building used to be the tallest habitable building in the world (1894-1908).
Yes, this is a reflection. Look on the right side and you will see two recessed lighting circles and the ceiling lines inside of the building. :-) Happy reflecting!

Venice, Italy If you look between the thick white lines on the window you will see what I was looking at. A man and a gondolier on a bridge. Like me, the man was probably waiting for his wife who was inside the shop and the gondolier was probably waiting for some tourists. This is the window of a place that sells glasses. Their slogan is "see differently". I guess I did because this is what I saw. The eye is actually a mural inside of the shop and everything else is a reflection.

A few weeks ago my wife and I stopped at Miel Patisserie in Philadelphia for a pastry and some coffee. The coffee and pastry were good and so were the reflections on the granite counter top. Thankfully we got to sit in front of the window. :-)

It felt a little surreal to see this tower in person because I'd seen so many pictures of it over the years. Sort of like seeing the Eiffel Tower or the Empire State Building for the first time.
